I glide over the polished floors, watching you speak with a bunch of men.

No doubt you want their money.

I see you wave me over like I'm the best thing to happen to you. Like you live for me. But you don't. I'm just a pawn in your little game.

I slide up next to you with a blinding smile. Greeting the rich bodies. Sipping the fancy wine that is as red as my blood I stand tall while you boast about my so called future.

Is it true that I'm going to Harvard? Not a chance

Oh I have a beautiful woman waiting for me? You made sure I didn't.

But who cares if you fabricate the truth, it's not like anyone's going to care.

"Oh he's such a wonderful, smart man. I'm so glad that he's my son"

"Mother I'm going to get a refill, could I persuade any of you for one?"

"We are alright son"

Spinning on my feet I make my way to the other side of the hall. Good, keep all interactions short. Grabbing a new glass I make use in this time free to get some fresh air.

Glancing up at the sky, seeing the sparky white stars glimmer in the moonlight. Peace. No worries about the ongoing party or what my future holds. Just me and the soft breeze carting around a world full of lies.

Swiping my stare across the land, I wonder what might happen if things were to go her way. Would u end up back on the ground, withering in pain? Or would I be lying peacefully in my sheets? Or would I be keeping true to the disgraceful lies you tell?

Because I am just a foax, branded with the lies you tell.

I wanted to try and express how one fabricates the truth and how they lie. I tried showing how fabricating something can lead to further lies and it just becomes your personality.

My antagonist personality is all a lie and only does the true personality or her come out when her and the protagonist are alone or close to it.

My protagonist plays along in these lies, making him also the liar. As he does try to correct them.
