The restaurant was small, dimly lit, enough candles to be light up Dan's living room, dining room and kitchen. We settled in a corner of the restaurant as Nico gave me the key from the car and his sunglasses.
"It's so cozy." I looked around.
"Dan and I would come here just to be left alone." He smiled at me.
"Oh sure, you just took him out on a date." I chuckled softly. "He's quite handsome, isn't he?"
"You figured it out." He smiled widely. "You know he's one of the most attractive men I've ever came across, he just put me in the friend zone for nearly 7 years."
"Yeah he does that." I wiggled my eyebrows. "But it works right, you meet new people who somehow all have a history Mr. Riccardo."
"And what is yours?"
"I just met him online about 4/5 years ago, just chatting with him on Twitter, met him at Spa when I just turned 16." I smiled at the memory. "That's where I met Seb and Horner for the first time. Guess that's what really started it."
"But you two never had an relationship?"
"No at the time I was a minor even when I started working for Red Bull, I was a minor." I leaned a bit in the chair. "We've never been more than brother and sister."He nodded as the waitress came to our table, looking at Nico with a flirty smile.
"Can I help you?" Her eyes focused on Nico.
"I would like a water and the menu." I look bored at her.
"I would like the same." Nico turned his head to face her. "As my fiancée."Her face turned red as she quickly walked away.
"Your fiancée?" I wiggled my eyebrows.
"It's just plain ass rude to flirt with a dude, while he's on a date." He muttered. "If she delivers our food, I'll ask you how you feel and if the baby isn't causing you any trouble."
"You calling me fat now?" I smiled widely.
"Ugh, Jaden, no."
"I'm joking and if I was, I'd still be on a date with you, right now."
"That's true."Two cold pasta salads, that's what we had ordered, Nico actually did ask me if the baby was any trouble. The waitress looked at me with widened eyes.
We were now eating, not holding a conversation, just enjoying our food in a comfortable silence. We didn't get a dessert, we just talked about how I spend most of the money I earned at Red Bull. Which was on Dan's car and my parents bills."Will you pay for them for ever?" Nico stared at me.
"I might, I want them to have a more comfortable life." I mumbled. "They have always struggled with money but provided me with a lot of things which I didn't really need. So even if I would pay it for another 16 years, I'll be happy enough."
"That's rather sweet." He smiled genuinely. "But aren't you putting yourself in a tight spot?"
"I could've had more if I hadn't bought a house with Max and literally gave up on it when he cheated on me, again." I softly groaned the last part. "I was just tired of him and anything what had to do with him. You know, 18 and naïve."
"You did a lot of growing." He shrugged as I felt a bit down.Somehow it always ended up talking about one of the biggest mistakes in my life.
"I had a really fun day" I smiled as we walked out of the garage.
"We aren't done yet." He chuckled.
"It better involve laying on the couch or something like that." I held his hand. "Cause my legs are killing me."I opened up my purse, grabbed the key and opened the front door. Just to throw the key back in the purse.
"Well it involves eating cheese and drinking wine."
"You know I don't like wine." I scrounged up my face.
"I got you beer." He laughed loudly.
"Hurray, a man who knows what I like." I sat on the couch and pulled of my heels. He walked into the kitchen as I rubbed my feet. These heels will end up somewhere in the back of the closet.
"Want to watch a movie?"
"Sure, no chick-flick though." I smiled at him as he settled down next to me.
"I can deal with that."
