The Eye of the Flame

So called demigod

I tried to forget about what had happened earlier.

I was so suprised at it that I didn't focus on any of my subjects that day.

Except for Greek Mythology, because it was my favorite class.

I was paying attention for once that day, when the teacher, Mr. Brunner, asked me, "Harry, can you explain what the Hydra is?".

I replied, "The Hydra is an important part of Greek mythology. It lives in the realm of Posiedon, under the sea. It has nine heads, and when one head gets cut off, two grow back in its place".

"Good" he says and I nod.

Class continues and at the end of the period, the school day is over.

Everyone leaves .

I realize I had forgotten some of my papers and I return.

I hear the voices of Mr. Brunner and my friend Jack talking.

"He is definitely a demigod" I hear Jack say and Mr. Brunner agrees.

I walk in.

"Uhh... Mr. Brunner?" I ask as the door creaks open.

I hear scrambling and what sounds like hooves on the floor.

The hoof sounds stop and Mr. Brunner says "Yes Harry?".

"I left my papers. And what was this that I overheard, me being a demigod. Whats a demigod?" I ask needing so many answers.

The door fully opens and I see Jack and Mr. Brunner.

Mr. Brunner is out of his wheelchair, and I stared in shock at him.

His waist down was half horse.

Jack didn't have any pants on, and his legs were furry and he looked like he was half goat.

"Ever heard of the greek gods Harry?".
