I went home feeling strange. I had lesson 6/7 where i was forced to ask out Jai, but he hadn't come to me in the locker area. He didn't come and talk to me. I'm not a kind of girlfriend that always wants her man with her. But i hadn't seen him since. We hadn't even talked about it. I didn't even have his number.
"Luke" i said as he turned around.
"Sup. Hey, Tiarna aren't you suposed to be with your boyfriend. Also the guy who chose you over his cool bro" he said putting on his bag.
"Um, well you see i need his number" i said. I sounded a bit desperate, maybe i should change the way it came out.
"Cause he forgot to give it to me. Boys aha" i added, there safe.
"aha. it's 0424152638. goodluck" he said walking away. What did that mean.
"Luke. What?" i yelled out.
"you'll see. ahahah" he yelled back walking away with a bunch of girls. Ugly girls in my case. Ilaughed back and walked away. Luke was cool, but sometimes can be a total jerk, and i didn't know what it meant. I walked to the bus and sat near the back, in a two seater. Being alone on the bus is so boring and takes twice as long. I decided to call Jai.
"Hello" he answered.
"Um, hey Jai. it's"
"Hey, Tiarna" he interupted, how did he know.
"How did you know?" i asked him.
"Your vocie" he replied.
"Oh, aha. Um, well i called to um......apolijize from today" i said softly.
"TIARNA!" yelled someone at the front of the bus. It was Jake, why was he calling my name.
"who's that?" asked Jai.
"Jake strangly." i said. Jake slowly got up and walked towards me.
"No, don't be silly. It's ok, Luke was being imature." he said understandable.
"Cool. so do you want to"
"What up gurl" Jake said sitting next to me.
"Ok, why are you sitting with me?" i asked as i placed the phone on the shoulder, i didn't want Jai hearing or Jake knowing it's Jai.
"Well, cause i can. You seen pretty close to Jai, says Luky" JAke said.
"One sec" i said putting the phone on my ear again.
"Um, so yeah. It's ok about today. I know you had to lie about asking me out, you covered yourself. It's fine with me" he said. What, he thought i was covering myself.
"Oh.................arh yep that's what i did. Covered myself. Thanks for helping" i said. I felt so down after that sentence.
"Who's on the phone" asked Jake.
"your a cool friend Tiarna. Cathca later" Jai said because he had math homework.
"Um, so are you. ok, bye Jai" i said hanging up.
"Ohhh. You and Jai. la la la" Jake sung over and over again.
"stop seriously. ok, why are you acaully hear" i asked annoyed.
"Well, Luke said you were going out with someone. But he said it's a joke. I was just cheking in" he explained.
"Well, yep it was a joke. Luke dared me to ask Jai out, and he said yes. But Jai was just helping me" i said looking down. I think Jake noticed.
"aha, but why are you sad" he asked me. Jake was popular. But when he wasn't with his friends, he was a complete soflty. He looked after, Catlin and huge nerd who goes hear. No one found out, but Catlin told me. It was so nice.
"I don't even know why i'm telling you this. But i guess i kind of trust you, ahah" i laughed, he joined in.
"Do you like him?" he asked. I just looked up at him and nodded.
"Well, Jai's a cool guy. If you told him he wouldn't blurb it out" he said.
"Thanks Jake, but i'm sure he only likes me as a friend" i said pulling my jumper sleaves down.
"Well, this is my stop. But i'll tell you what. I'll talk about you with him, no i won't make it ovious. Just say like your awesome and yeah" he said. He's awesome
"Thanks jake bye" i said smiling and waving.
"But hif you tell anyone i did this, your high school days are over" he said and then smiled after, but he wasn't joking. I don't know why he just be's himself. I arrived home and did my homework.
