as the trio walked around the school, they were nearing the end of the tour. the cafeteria! nadia and mackenzie took turns pointing at each table and describing the people who sat there. it was pretty straight forward, although annie couldn't decide where she would want to sit.
"and that's where-" "johnny fucking orlando sits." mackenzie interrupted nadia. she rolled her eyes and nadia awkwardly itched her wrist. annie feeling the tension after that name was said, she crossed her arms over her chest.
"is he not a good guy?" annie quietly and innocently asked. mackenzie nodded her head, getting ready to rant all about him.
"you see, he's just a bitch. a total bitch. i just don't know why he even comes to school when he clearly hates it. he's a bully too. he just insults everyone and he's so arrogant. everything about him is garbage and i can't stand him!" mackenzie let out, nadia biting her nails now due to her anxiety and annie nodding her head at mackenzie.
"i just wish i could punch him and kick-" "ouch mackenzie, i thought we were friends." his voice came from behind them, mackenzie's anger now was boiling up. the three of them turned around, mackenzie eyeing johnny orlando up and down.
mackenzie scoffed, knowing well enough that johnny orlando doesn't want her anywhere near him. during school hours, darius would be with johnny at all times during break. but today he wasn't which secretly bummed out nadia. the only time she and darius would really talk to each other was when mackenzie and johnny were bickering.
the rest of johnny and mackenzie's argument seemed to fly by, it always ended with johnny saying an insulting flirt. but before johnny could really walk away from the girls, darius came running down the hall. a boy behind him.
"johnny!" darius called his name out, making johnny turn around and give him his attention. "what is it now darius?" he questioned his best friend, darius stopped when he reached the small group forming.
"new-kid-asher-angel-pretty-athletic." darius said through breaths as he dashed his way towards johnny.
"okay, and?" johnny gave him a confused look. the three girls behind him listening in. "dude, this guy's good at basketball, we really need him on the team if we wanna be undefeatable this year!" darius explained, with hand movements too.
the boy that was slowly walking behind darius finally made it in front of the group and awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. "my name's asher angel. i'm new here." he introduced himself.
darius smiled, happy that asher was had followed him. johnny has a small smile on his face, not much but you knew he was amused. mackenzie and nadia didn't have much to say but give him small smiles as well but annie.. woosh.
she was a girl in love!
