Chapter 8

Envy POV

I watched as the girl went to bed. Me. Jealous? Ha! How ridiculous.

I'd never be jealous of anything. I was one of the most superior beings on Earth. I have nothing to be jealous of. Nothing.
"Tch. Stupid brat...", I muttered.

I waited for her to come out of her room again but she never did for the rest of the night. Guess I scared her into her place.

Eventually morning came around.
And once again it was another boring night. Finally at around 8 a.m. Y/ N finally came out of her room. She came into the kitchen and ate a simple apple.

I was confused, we bought a lot of food yesterday after we robbed money from the dead guy.

"Aren't you hungrier to eat more than just a dumb apple?", I asked.
She simply shook her head.
She finishes her Apple and grabbed her bag.

I sighed heavily. "Let me guess, you wanna go out again?", I asked annoyed.

Y/N nodded. I stood up and walked over to the door.
I decided to just roll with it. I knew I wasn't gonna win this argument.

I just followed her around. She didn't say much and just kept walking.

I know she's a quiet person but I wonder what was on her mind. We eventually found ourselves in the same alleyway as always.
So we killed more people like usual.

Suddenly she stopped.

It was like a cat, all her attention turned to a different direction. "Y/ N?", I said. I tossed aside the head I was holding and took a closer look at her.
She just stared at one direction.

Then she bolted down the street.
"What the hell?!" I followed her as quickly as possible.

Damn she was fast though. I eventually caught up to her as she stood by one of the doors that went under the city.
"Y/N, listen to me. We can't go down there. Father or one of the others will find us and we'll both be in big trouble", I stated.

She gave a glance at me, then went down through the door.
I sighed and followed.

Looking in all directions I found myself unable to find her.

"How the hell....where did go?!"

I gritted my teeth. Shit. This was not good.

Y/ N POV

Feeling bored I just walked around the place, looking at every little thing I saw.
I heard growling noises above and looked up.

Chimeras seemed to be locked up in the ceiling. I just stared at them.

One of them roared fiercely at me.

I didn't even flinch. I just looked away and walked off. Suddenly I heard a noise, it was the sound of alchemy.
I ran towards it and looked around, as I ran the noise grew louder and louder.

I was this close to seeing what it was but I suddenly felt an arm grab me and pull me back.

Uh oh. I had a feeling I knew what, or who it was. I turned my head and saw a very angry palm tree.

"Let's go", he said and quickly dragged us away before we could do anything else or before anyone could see us.
I glanced back though and saw the same Father guy as before.

Was he an alchemist of some kind? And also, why did he look so familiar.....?

I had so many questions to ask him.

But I guess I can't do that now with this palm tree around.
I figured I was gonna get a pretty good beating once we got out of here.
