Leyah's POV-:

I walked inside my house. And saw my little brother Jordan sitting on the island eating a sandwich. He saw me and smiled, then his smile faded away, and he threw his sandwich on his plate and ran to me.

"Hey...Ley, what happened to your head?" he asked cryingly. I kneeled in front of him and hugged him.

"Nothing...it's just..." My mother cut me off.

"Oh, my god. , Honey, what happened?. she asked with concern and checked my forehead from close. "Did someone hit you?" she asked. I could hear the anger in her voice. I chuckled. Yeah, your 'so-called' friend's daughter did this.

"Mom...I am fine. I just fell in school." I lied. She kissed my forehead. I smiled.

"Oh...baby, when you became this clumsy..but please take care of yourself next time, ok?" she said. I nodded.

"Ok, Mom, I am going to my room," I said, walking, then turning. " I will not go to school tomorrow, ok. don't try to wake me up early." I said. My mom nodded. Jordan laughed.

"Ok, baby girl, sleep and rest, but be fine till evening, ok?" she said. I gave her a confused look. " oh, I forgot to tell you. We are going to Jasmine's party tomorrow." she said, smiling.

"But..mom. I don't.." I was cut off.

"No buts, baby, you will come with me. That's final. And I am going to see her after so many years. Please, for me..?" she pleaded.

"Fine" I rolled my eyes and went upstairs. Oh god. Jasmine's house means Sam's. Ugh.

Sam's POV-:

"Hey.... Sam. ain't you hungry today?" Devon asked. I shook my head. " You didn't touch your food....here. Let me help my friend," she said, dragging my food tray towards her and eating my food too. bitch. She didn't ask me twice. I rolled my eyes.

I felt like running from the school. This was lunchtime. And I didn't see Leyah in the first period too. She was absent because she was not at her table too. I sighed and stood up.

"Hey," she said, waving at me. I waved back.

"Umm...I didn't see Leyah today. Is she alright?" I asked.

"Yeah, she is fine. But she is absent today. taking rest at home." Poly said. I nodded.

"S-stay away from her, Sam," Charlie spoke. I rolled my eyes, showed him my middle finger, and returned to my table. I don't want to waste my second on that bastard.

"What did she say?" Devon asked.

"Nothing. I am not feeling well today. And my parents are at home too so I am going home. Bye, guys." I said to my friends. They nodded. Devon smiled at me. I turned and exited the school. Why was the school bugging me without her? Ugh. Ok, Sam, I understand you felt bad for pushing her that hard. but stop doing and feeling shitty things. I scolded myself and hopped in my car.

"Hey darling, you came earlier than usual from school?" my mom asked.

"Yeah. I came to help you guys with party preparations." I lied. But I seriously want to divert my mind from her.

My mom arched her eyebrow, gave me a suspicious look, and nodded. " ok..good. But first, go and freshen up," she said, smiling. I nodded.
