Peyton.
"I'm not partying with you" I object immediately, obviously raining on his parade. I saw the hope in his eyes dissapear as soon as the words left my mouth.
"And why's that?" He steps towards me, forgetting all about the photos he had been deeply concentrated on moments before. The smoke in his mouth was preparing to drop ashes on my floor seeing as he hadn't had anywhere to flick them away.
"You're probably reckless. I can't be getting in trouble on the first day" I shake my head, sticking to the gut feeling inside of me warning me not to go with him. Just like the party Anna had tried to convince me to go to, I can say no.
"I'm no more reckless than you are" I close my mouth because I know it's true. He was a perfectly mirrored image of who I used to be; just in guy form. College would be a lot easier without him pestering me about my past. I moved all the way to Australia in order to forget who I used to be, not have some guy try to mess up my progress.
"Maybe some other time" I stand still as he walks towards me fully, stopping when his chest almost touches mine. The ashes from his cigarette finally fall to the floor as he breathes in a puff of smoke once more and blows it into my face. Bastard.
"I'll hold you to that" His mouth twitches into a smirk before he walks his way to the door, closing it behind him. I am left standing there silently for only a few short seconds before Anna hurls herself through the door, drenched in water, making a mess of the room.
"You would not believe what I just went through".

"You had a water fight, that's your big story for me?" I ask in an unimpressed manner once a giddy, and obviously still tipsy, Anna explains why she was watering our carpet.
"It wasn't just any water fight, there were shirtless guys!" She giggles to herself, bouncing up and down on her matress. She looked like a five year old high on a sugar rush.
"Isn't there at every water fight?" I nod to myself, knowing that every fight including water I've been a part of always ended with many shirtless men.
"Okay well it wasn't just some small fight, literally the whole party was in on it. The house is probably flooded by now" She smiles widely; seeming impressed that she was in on such an event. I probably would've owned that water fight which made me some what wish I would have gone with her.
Michael.
"Dude where are you?" Ashton demands through the small phone pressed to my ear. He had called almost immediately after I left Peyton's dorm. I was still dissapointed that she wouldn't go to any form of party tonight because I knew that would immediately categorize her under Ashton's bad books.
Ashton's actually a pretty cool guy but he's very strict with who he hangs out with. He doesn't like people who would pass up a party for schooling and he hates it when people seem too innocent. He's just that guy that parties day and night without a care and no one cares because they all wish they could do the same.
"Yeah I'm on my way don't worry" I scrap the bit about me stopping by at Peyton's because later when he finds out she missed the biggest party, supposedly of this year, he won't like her. I don't need to lose Ashton's friendship right now because he's the only one I can turn to when ever I want to get drunk - even if it's four in the morning and he's sleeping he'll be down.
I throw my cigarette to the pavement underneath my feet and quicken my pace to get to Ashton's flat quicker.
"Hurry up you dipshit, we're starting" He groans before ending the call.
