Alec ripped off Magnus' shirt popping a button on the silk. Magnus glared at him, but barely got the chance because Alec smashed their lips together. Magnus tasted like cinnamon and the familiar taste made Alec smile. He ran his hands across Magnus' body with a feverish hunger. Magnus pulled off his tight underwear with his skin tight pants and started to unbutton Alec's black jeans. Alec ran his hand through Magnus' hair and kissed down his neck, sucking at the sensitive skin. He moaned and pushed him down on the bed. Alec pulled off his underwear and flung it aside.
"I need you Magnus," Alec rasped. He groped for the box of condoms in his dresser, but Magnus pushed them away.

"Then feel me, Alexander."

Alec woke up the next morning and immediately rushed to the bathroom clutching his stomach. He had just enough time to notice the empty bed beside him, before his vision clouded and stomach lurched. He barely made it to the toilet before vomiting several times. Gasping for air, he looked around for Magnus with disappointment when he remember the cold left side of the bed. Pulling himself up he groped for the counter top. His skin felt sticky and his eyes were watering. He stripped off his clothes and turned the shower temperature to scalding. He needed to feel clean again. As his head cleared he smiled fondly, remembering the previous night with Magnus. He breathed in the smell of sandalwood shampoo and let his thoughts drift away. Abruptly he was pulled out of dreamland by a wave of nausea.

He almost slipped getting out of the shower as he flung himself in front of the toilet. Steam clogged his lungs and he felt like he couldn't breathe. Dizzy, he sat down on the cold tiles. Why am I so sick, he thought. He stood up slowly, rinsed again, and turned off the shower. He dried off and made his way carefully to the bedroom to put on some clothes. He grabbed a neatly folded black t shirt and black jeans, along with his signature leather jacket with runes stitched into the collar. He hardly ever wore anything else. Turning around to look out the apartment window, his phone rang.

"Hey Magnus." He answered.
"Morning darling, how are you feeling?" Magnus said sweetly.
"God, I'm feeling really sick and I have no idea why." He groaned.
"I'm sorry babe. I hope you feel better. And I'm so sorry that I wasn't there this morning. I got an urgent call from a friend." Magnus reassured him.
"It's ok Mag, I can handle myself."
"Alright then. If you need anything darling, please call. I love you."
"I love you too."

Alec sighed and walked to the kitchen. Fuck, I want chocolate, he thought, grumbling and reaching for a protein bar. It was his day off from the institute and he was supposed to spend it with Magnus. Alec walked back to his bedroom, reluctantly munching on his protein bar and wishing it was a giant bar of chocolate. After meticulously making his bed, brushing his teeth for exactly two minutes and thirty seconds when he finished his protein bar, and picking up the clothes that were strewn on the floor from last night, Alec gave in to his craving. He opened the top shelf cabinet and broke a square off some milk chocolate. It was heaven. Alec was normally very strict about his diet, making sure to stay in tip top shape to run the institute, but today, that all went out the window.

He gave up and grabbed the whole bar along with a jar of peanut butter to go with it. He flopped on the couch and turned on the TV. Normally, Alec didn't care for mundane entertainment, but Magnus wasn't here and he didn't have anything better to do.

Soon the chocolate was finished and so was half the jar of peanut butter. Why am I so goddamn hungry, he huffed. The rest of the day proceeded to be a lot of ups and downs. He became unusually invested in some mundane tv shows and ignored every call or text that pinged his phone. The irritably continued when he went out for a coffee run, nearly snapping at the poor barista. I'm not like this, he thought. What's wrong with me? Puzzled he tried to sleep it off, but was even more frustrated when he could only toss and turn. Magnus returned in the evening and his presence did little to comfort Alec. Feeling ignored, Alec only pushed him away. The day ended with a tense dinner and the two falling asleep facing away from each other.

The next morning wasn't much better. Alec was still sick and this time craved barbecue sauce and pizza. I can never get a break, can I? He mumbled to himself, grabbing some toast. He forced himself to eat a normal breakfast and grumbled to himself all the way to the institute.
Jace walked right over when he got there and clapped him on the back.
"Come on buddy we have a mission to go on. There these vampires who are targeting high school students and it's an im- wait, what's wrong with you? Are you okay? You look really tense." His fast chatter turned to concern quickly as Alec glared at him.
"I just need to be alone right now, I'm gonna go sort through some files in the basement." Alec shoved past him and walked away.
"Dude, seriously what's up with you? What are you on your period or something?" Jace snapped back, Alec's bad mood was starting to affect him too. Alec stopped short. A realization hit him like a truck.
"A-actually I gotta go Jace. I have something I need to do today." He choked out. Then he turned around and ran.

Alec stood in line at the pharmacy tapping his foot and rhythmically clenching his jaw. He felt as if he had been waiting in line forever. He was almost at the front, but an older woman was arguing with the pharmacist about a refill on one of her medications. Finally it was his turn at the counter. He nearly slammed three boxes of pregnancy tests on the table and earned a strange look from the cashier.

"Worried about your girlfriend, huh?" The man said.
"Something like that." Alec mumbled quietly. He paid and rushed home. He ripped open the box and quickly peed. The three minute wait felt like an eternity. Finally he looked down at the small dial. He threw it across the room and screamed. He took another. And then another. Alec Lightwood, head of the New York institute and awarded shadowhunter, was pregnant.

Magnus took Alec out to dinner to make up for missing their day off. Alec was jumpy the whole time picking at his food and refusing to look Magnus in the eyes. Anxious about telling Magnus about the pregnancy, he talked in short, vague sentences and skirted any talk of feelings.
"Alexander what's going on?" Magnus asked concerned.
"Nothing I promise, stop worrying about me, Mag. I'm fine." Alec said quickly.
"Darling I know you well enough to know when you're hiding something." Magnus said delicately. Alec whimpered and brushed back a tear that burned his eyes. "Baby what's wrong? I promise I won't be mad. You never have to keep secrets from me." Alec buried his face in his hands.
"Magnus, I'm-I'm pregnant." He finally choked out. A couple at the table next to him gave him a strange look and his face burned with shame. "I mean, I've been taking testosterone so long I wasn't quite sure how well all that was working down there."
"Oh Alexander, that's wonderful. Why would you ever think you needed to hide that from me?"
"I thought you would be mad, I thought you wouldn't want me anymore." He said, relieved.
"Darling I love you, I would never leave you, especially not for something like this. Are you going to keep the baby?" Magnus cooed and rubbed circles on Alec's back softly.
"Umm only if you want to, you are the father you know."
"Alexander this is about what you want. If you want to keep the baby I would be overjoyed to raise a child with you."
"I-I think I want to keep it." Alec said quietly. "With you."
