"Are you sure you're not worried about my family not liking you?" LaMelo asks Y/N. "Baby, I'm sure they'll love me. Why wouldn't they? I'm literally nothing like your ex." Y/N smiled as she made her way to her bathroom.

LaMelo has been dating Y/N in secret for 6 months now. He didn't want to rush things like he did with his ex Ashley. Y/N was friends with Denise and when the break up between Ashley and Melo happened, Denise introduced them to each other. LaMelo was at first just trying to get over Ashley but soon found himself falling for the Softball player.

"You ready?" Melo asks. "So ready!" Y/N responded. She wouldn't admit it to Melo but she was freaking out on the inside. All she wanted was the Ball families approval. Zo and Denise were the only ones that knew Melo was dating someone but they kept it quiet. They knew Melo didn't want Y/N in the spotlight because she didn't like the attention. She loved keeping to herself and was very shy.

LaMelo grabbed Y/N's hand and kissed it as they made their way to his house. Y/N driving, seeing as Melo had to sneak to Y/N's. His Lambo would have given it away if he drove. Not much was different seeing as Y/N was driving a 2018 matte black Camaro Exorcist.

"How did you afford this car? It's literally hot as hell." Melo spokes as his free hand moved over the dashboard. "My dad is a retired basketball player." Y/N shrugged her shoulders as she pulled into the Ball residence. She parked her car behind Melo's. "You ready?" LaMelo questions again.

"Baby, I am ready. The real question is are you ready for me to meet your family?" Y/N turned in her seat and looked at her boyfriend, seeing the look on his face. "I don't want to keep you hidden from my family. They have every right to know who I'm dating." Melo leaned over and pecked Y/N's lips a few times before getting out of the car.

The Melo Y/N knew is way different from the one that everyone one else saw. He was more caring and shy off camera and put up a more cocky attitude when there was a camera shoved into his face. All the boys were like that.

Y/N got out and waited for LaMelo to get to her side of the car so they could walk together. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close before opening the door. "Melo in the house!" LaMelo yelled before he heard the boys yell from the court.

Y/N smiled when she seen Denise on her phone and recording Lonzo play with LiAngelo. Y/N was about to walk towards her but Melo stopped her. "Mom and Dad, I'd like for you to meet Y/N..." Melo trailed off as they stood on the other side of the grill. LaVar looked up and Tina smiled at the two.

"Hello Y/N, how are you?" LaVar asks loudly before laughing. "I'm good, how are you two this evening?" Y/N questions. "We're doing amazing. Why don't you two go hang with the others and we'll call y'all when the foods done." LaVar winked. Y/N smiled and nodded her head as they made their way towards the court.

"My man!" So laughed as he did his handshake with Melo. Gelo waves at him before going back to shooting around. Y/N ran over to Denise and jumped into her lap. "Guess who just got accepted into UCLA with a full ride!?" Y/N squealed as she shook her best friend. "No way!?" Denise squealed as well. "Yeah, I got the E-Mail last night. They told me that they want me to go to one of the practices so I know what to expect! I got a full ride for Softball! It sucks Melo will be overseas." Y/N sighed as she thought about the distance her and Melo would be apart.

She was falling for the guy but she was scared to tell him that she loved him, knowing it was a little early to tell him. They've been together for 6 months but it felt like years with him. They barely fought but when they did, they'd apologize right after. The boy was only 16 and a Junior and she was about to graduate high school. Y/N being 18 and going to UCLA, while LaMelo is homeschooled and is overseas playing for Lithuania or for JBA.

"Baby, you want something to drink?" LaMelo walked over to the two girls. "I'll have whatever you're gonna get." Y/N smiled at the boy. He nodded his head before quickly making his way over to the fridge that they had in the little room attached to their house. He came back a few seconds later with a blue and red Powerade.

He pecked Y/N's lips and quickly ran over to the boys that were about to start playing around the world. "How long have you two been together?" Tina questions as she took a seat across from Y/N and Denise. "6 months now" Y/N looked over at LaMelo who laughed obnoxiously just so Lonzo would miss.

"How did you two meet?" Denise laughed before getting up and sighing. "I will let you two beautiful woman talk." She said before she walked away, rubbing her pregnant belly. "Denise actually introduced us. She had told me she had a friend she wanted me to meet. When she introduced us, we just hit it off. He was honest with me when he told me that he wasn't down for something serious but he asked me to be his girlfriend about 2 months of us hanging out and knowing each other. He's really amazing. He is so much different when he's not on camera and it's just the both of us. He's very caring and romantic." Y/N smiled brightly as she thought about LaMelo.

"I overheard you telling Denise that you're going to UCLA after the summer. You're 17 or 18?" Tina questioned. "I am 18 years old and I found out last night that UCLA is giving me a scholarship for Softball." Y/N answered. "How do you feel about LaMelo playing in Lithuania?" Tina looked at her husband that had yelled out, telling them that dinner was done.

"I support him and if that's what he's going to do, I'll be there for him. Distance is no problem for me, as long as he's happy. I heard he's going to play for LA's JBA team after he finishes his season with Lithuania?" Tina looked at Y/N with a smile. "He is and he's so ready for it. I don't think he likes playing in Lithuania." Tina answered.

They made their way to the table and started a conversation about how LaMelo is going to transition. Melo watched with a smile on his face before digging into his food. "And you were worried, they wouldn't like her." Lonzo whispered to him. He smacked his lips before rolling his eyes. "I was worried for her. She's very emotional." Melo lies. "Whatever man." LiAngelo laughed at his brother.

"Welcome to the Ball Family." LaVar yelled as he placed his hand on Y/N's shoulder with a big smile. "Happy to be a part of it" Y/N looked at Melo with a smile. He smiled back before jumping into a conversation about basketball with his brothers.
