that jerk. i do my goddamn best to please him, and he still has to be an asshole.
"you've been staring at your phone for a good 10 minutes, soonyoung," jeonghan told me.
"uhuh. i know."
"what's wrong?"
"nothing. let's just go to next class."
during math, someone keeps shooting spitballs at my head. i turned back to see jihoon waving at me. i ignored him and continued to listen to the teacher.
"someone's trying to get your attention," jeonghan whispered.
"ignore him."
"so that's the guy you're angry at?"
"ssh. shut up. we're gonna get in trouble."
...
the bell rang. finally. my next class doesn't have him in it. i left with jeonghan, but some little creep followed me.
"what do you want, jihoon?"
"why...are you ignoring me?"
"figure it out yourself. good bye."
"it's usually the opposite way around..haha," jeonghan remarked.
"what do you mean by that?"
"he's usually the one who ignores you."
"oh shut up, jeonghan."
"what happened anyway?"
"he's just being an ass. he'll forget all about it soon."

it's the end of the day. as i'm heading out the door, the rat caught up to me again. really, what does he want?
"SOONYOUNG, I'M SORRY!" i stopped. i'm shocked. he was so out of breath from running.
"are you really?"
"yes, i'm sorry! i have been a jerk to you when you just want to be my friend and ... !" he paused to breathe, "i need to be more open to friends..."
"we're friends?"
"yes! i had fun when you stayed over! please, i'm sorry. we only have a few days left 'til school is over. just please."
"i'll think about it. good bye, jihoon."
