I change into a comfortable pair of sweat pants and some sneakers. On the way out the door I grab Marcy's leash and clip it onto her collar. We step out onto the iron stair case and run down the steps. It is quite a cool and breezy day with a small chance of sun later to come. I start to jog slowly finding my pace. 1,2,3 breath. I say to myself. There is a group of hot looking girls up ahead. The kind of girls that would turn any sane mans head. I have to get a date with at least one of them, if I look upset about my dog. Apparently, girls love boys that are sensitive. I look at Marcy and she knows the drill. We both start to slow down just as the girls walk past. "Help! Please somebody help me. My dog." I cry out. Marcy is lying on the pavement not moving an inch. The girls start to inch closer to get a better look. "Can I help? I am training to become a vet." The hot brunette asks with a worried look on her face. At the mention of the word vet Marcy jumps up in alarm. She hates going to the vet. The girl giggles and stands up. "You have saved her life! Thank you so much. Can I buy you a coffee sometime or something to thank you properly? I am Jake by the way. I don't think I caught your name gorgeous." I say turning on the charm with a bright flash of my smile and twiddling a piece of her hair. She so wants me. I can see that look in her eyes. "I'm Becky. It was nice meeting you Jake. I really have to go catch up with my friends but maybe some other time. Here's my number, call me!" She replies in a rush and with a wink she is gone. Another girl, I shoot I score!
I start to jog again but I am stopped at the lights. Once they turn red I cross the busy street full of taxi drivers waiting anxiously to move. I can now feel sweat pouring down my face. This has been a good workout but I have hardly even done half of it yet. Once I get to the other side, my pace builds up again and my heart starts to race as I take deep breaths and long strides. Marcy is still obediently bounding behind me with her ears flapping and her tongue hanging out. It is a lovely place to jog in Central park. It is mid spring so the trees are still bright green. Soon it will be fall and their leaves will all change colour and fall off. I can imagine it now as the amber leaves crunch crisply under my strides. I run for a bit longer until the song finishes. I hear Marcy panting and I decide it is time to stop. I find a nice secluded area behind a tree with not many spectators. I open my water bottle and take a swig before pouring some into Marcy's expectant mouth. Marcy settles down under the tree for a nap whilst I start to do some press ups. I soon get too warm so I end up taking my shirt off to find a pair of rock hard abs. The sweat is pouring down the ripples in my chest as I take long breaths in and out. I then start to do some crunches but I stop when I sense someone is watching. I stand up pulling my shirt on to look around the tree. To my surprise I find Ali White sitting on the other side of the tree painting a picture of the trees.
"Fancy seeing you here Ali!" I whisper in her ear making her jump. She turns around to give me a death glare.
"Oh it's you. I should have guessed. It's probably your forte to jump up on innocent girls." She says with a hint of menace.
"Just the pretty innocent girls of course." I joke, knowing it will make her blush. Right on the bulls eye. Her cheeks change into a beetroot colour.
"Haha very funny. Now if you don't mind I would like to finish this painting. You can get back to sweating yourself to death!" She laughs.
"Actually I do mind. I have finished my workout and I was wondering if Marcy and I could hang out with you for a bit. You intrigue me Ali. I am too hot. Would you mind?" I ask dying to see her reaction as I slip my top off. She is sat there gawping like a fish with her mouth wide open. I laugh at her expression. "I..I" She stammers but I shush her with my finger to her lips. I lay back against the tree and she continues to paint.
