A Rocky Start

It was three in the morning and Peter woke up from his sleep in a cold sweat. The sheets clung to his skin making him feel even more trapped. He threw them off and raked his hand through his hair. He had a nightmare about losing his family again. He tried to sleep but every time he closed his eyes visions from the nightmare took over his thoughts and reared their ugly heads. He pulled out his phone and nervously dialled. "...hello? Are you okay Petey?" A groggy voice asked. "No I'm really sorry can you come over." He said shaking, he tried to keep a steady voice but failed horribly. "Yeah, course, I'll be there soon just try to stay calm till then baby." Peter nodded even though Wade couldn't see him. "Okay see you soon." It only took about five minutes before Peter heard soft tapping on his window. He jumped out of bed and flew up to the window. "Hey, what's wrong?" Wade asked concerned holding the boy. Peter shook his head and buried it into his boyfriend's chest. "I had the nightmare again, it was so real. I-" Peter choked out he voice being stolen by the fear. "Shhhh it's okay it's just a dream." He cooed. "Do you want to try to sleep?" Wade asked rubbing his back. Peter nodded on his chest moving them to the bed. He softly told him a random story that Peter doesn't remember till he fell asleep. Pete slept till about ten thirty until his dad Steve knocked on his door loudly. "Pete! Wake up and eat breakfast!" He shouted through the door. Peter groaned tiredly and snuggled into Wade while tangling their legs even more for room. Wade smelled really nice, wait Wade? Realisation struck Peter like lighting and he shot up in bed. "Huh." Wade sleepily opened one eye. He tried to pull Peter down with one arm but he didn't budge. "What's up baby boy?" "Wade! You have to go before my dads catch and kill you!" He loudly whispered. "Okay okay geez maybe I'll get invited to next breakfast!" He chirped optimistically. "Sure when my parents stop being over protective and nuts." Peter laughed. "If you were my family I'd be protective too." Wade shrugged grinning. He slapped the boys ass, pecked his lips, and shouted good bye before jumping out the window. Steve opened the door to find a flushed Peter looking at an open window. "Did I just hear someone yell bye babe?" "We live in New York people yell all the time." Peter shrugged and started to make his bed hoping his dad would drop it. He did and closed the door reluctantly. Peter went downstairs for breakfast, dressed in some black jeans and a blue hoodie. He sat next to his pops while his dad made them food. "Hey Pete." Tony smiled sipping his coffee. He looked at him analytically while glancing at his newspaper. "Yes?" Peter asked hating feeling like he was being observed so closely. "You dating anyone these days?" Tony asked. "No." Peter coughed, choking on his juice. "Who are they? We're they here this morning?" Tony asked not skipping a beat over Peter's horrible lie. The boy blushed terribly. "I-" he stammered. "I knew it!" Steve announced proud of himself. Peter wanted to self destruct this was so embarrassing. He wasn't ready to tell them about Wade. "I think they were here this morning I heard someone say bye babe" Steve added handing them plates of pancakes and bacon. "No. Peter lives on the thirty second floor and there's no fire escape on his window. They'd die trying to make it up there." Tony rationalised. "I guess." Steve shrugged. "I'm gonna go-" Peter said his face still red. What did they expect him to do? Just sit there while they theorised about Wade. "Eat! I'm sorry." Steve said putting his hand on the boys shoulders. "At least tell us their name. Then we'll drop it." Tony pushed. Of course he didn't know when to stop. "Tony." Steve reprimanded. "Wade." Peter mumbled. Steve and Tony looked at each other and did a small victory smile. Their son trusted them and it meant a lot. They ate breakfast in small conversations. Peter went out and fought some crime while the dads stayed home. Tony's phone ranged. "Hello?" "It's fury." "Oh hi what's up?" Tony rolled his eyes and readied himself to deal with him. "I need you and your family to keep your eyes peeled for a mercenary around in your woods." "Ok sure." Tony flicked some lint off his jacket trying not to sound bored. "He wears a red and black suit, covered in guns and swords. Known by deadpool, but his name is Wade Wilson." Fury added so he knew who to keep his eyes out for. "What do you want us to do if we find him?" "Bring him in." "For what?" Tony asked now interested. "None of your god damn business Stark." The older man barked and hung up. "Wow that's a temper." Tony mumbled closing the phone and walking down to his lab slowly. 'I hope this isn't that Wade Pete is dating. I don't know anyone else with that name.' He thought. Peter and Wade sat on the roof top in their suits. "I told my parents we were dating." Peter mentioned smiling. "Really?!" Wade asked excitedly going closer. "Yeah they asked for the persons name I was dating and I said Wade so." Peter shrugged grinning. "That's awesome! You think they'll figure out I'm deadpool anytime soon, I don't hide it at all." "Probably." Peter held his hand and smiled. Gunshots broke through the air below the couple. "Duty calls." Peter announced swinging down. "Ha! You said calls!" Wade laughed, he looked around to see his boyfriend gone. "Hey wait up! Im in too!" Wade announced. Peter landed on the ground quickly. "Catch me spidey!" Wade yelled jumping off the building. The gun men heard this yell and shot at Peter. He jumped to avoid the bullets and couldn't catch Wade so he shot webs sticking him to the dirty wall of the alley instead. "What the shit Spider-Man!" Wade complained getting his katanas and cutting himself free. The three thugs surrounded the heroes. Wade shot one and cut another with is katana without skipping a beat. The second one shot Wade in the chest before being sliced. Peter knocked the third out. "What were these thugs shooting at anyway?" Peter asked turning to his boyfriend. "Um maybe them?" Wade asked pointing to Natasha and Clint. Peter's aunt and uncle. "Hey guys....sorry." Peter apologised. "You're fine Pete you were just helping, we needed to question those guys and you only knocked him out. But your partner killing them doesn't really help us at all." Natasha glared at deadpool who was poking his bullet hole till it was gone. "Wade." Peter hissed quietly smacking the man on the shoulder. "What?" "Say you're sorry they needed to question the guys you killed." "Sorry!" Wade exclaimed, not in the sincerest of ways, which Clint and Natasha didn't like. "I guess we could always bring him in like fury asked." Clint grinned to his best friend. "Fury wants to bring in Wade?" Peter asked confused stepping up to them and in front of his boyfriend. "Yup wouldn't tell us what for though." Natasha added. This seemed to make the mutant uncomfortable. "Well it's been nice meeting you auntie and uncle see you at thanksgiving!" Wade yelled getting back on the roof top he was on before to get his things. The two shook their heads and shared a glance. Clint picked up the knocked out thug over his shoulder. "I'm gonna go check on him.." Peter awkwardly backed off. "Tell your boyfriend to watch out. We aren't the only heroes fury asked to bring him in." Nat warned. How did she know they were dating. Peter knew better than to contradict her so he swung up to the building top without another word. "Wade." Peter said quietly and seriously. Wade grimaced hearing the tone on the man, he wrapped his arms around Peter's waist. "Baby I don't know why he wants me, probably cause I witnessed a murder of someone he cared about, but I'm not up to snitching cause the person who did it knows I love you and you'll get hurt." The words poured out of the man's mouth. "It's probably that?!" Peter exclaimed emphasising probably. "This is serious Wade you should tell them who it was! I can take care of myself and I have my dad's, you, and the avengers." Peter scoffed. "No." Wade said in a deathly serious tone that cause silence to fall between them. After a while the man spoke. "No and don't try and push me on it, I'm sorry but you'll get hurt." He turn to the side dramatically admiring the now forming sunset. It cast brilliant hues of gold and red to dance upon the mans face, highlighting his serious expression. "This is the dumbest cliché in the book! Just tell me! Also it was just morning a second ago, why is the sun setting?" "Shush it's for dramatic effect and fine, only cause I love messing with plot lines." "Wait a sec." Wade stuck a finger out and pulled a book out of his bag and started flipping through it. "Is that a phone book? Are you getting his address?" Peter asked confused. "Something like that." "Peter wakes up from nightmare, has fun breakfast with parents, meets up with me, I read through the book." He mumbled flipping. "I wonder what the end is~!" Wade excitedly flipped to the last page to read when Peter snatched the book. "Hey!" "What is this thing?!" "Nothing just gimme for a sec." "Peter saw something on a page toward the end he crinkled and read. "Peter falls to his death?!?" "What! No! That can't be a thing!" The book disappeared from the two males hold. "Where'd it go?!" Wade asked. They looked everywhere, every inch of the roof top, but couldn't find it. "So that book was our story?" "Yeah i found it when I was breaking the fourth wall." "Let's just break the fourth wall till we get it back!" Peter coaxed. "Man I love being in a book!" Wade loudly announced. Suddenly a crumpled up piece of paper was thrown at his head. Maybe it came from the book. Wade uncrumpled it and read aloud. "Stop." "Huh." "Guess we just have to go throughout our day like normal." Peter cringed thinking about the fall.

~ Thanks for reading I enjoyed writing this one. I don't really ship Stony that much but I really like the Superfamily and Spideypool complex. Breaking the fourth wall can be interesting. Oh btw I'm ageing Peter up to 20 in college don't worry Wade's not dating a kid. Au revoir cher lecteurs!~
