"Mom?" I whisper at her. She walks towards me, a soft smile tugging at her lips. Her grey eyes, so similar to mine, gaze at me and she takes my hand in hers. Her soft, warm skin is calming and I long to hug her just once more. I can't. My arms are still bound. A tear slips my eyes as I fall on her swollen l pregnant belly.

"I decided what to name her," she remarks quietly, resting a hand on her stomach. She looks at me again, such love emanating from such pale eyes. "Alina."

Another tear falls, the salt water stinging my tongue. Alina, my middle name.

"Did I ever tell you what Alina means?" She questions, her eyes suddenly far away. "It means light. I have a feeling I'm going to need plenty of help placing light in my life since you're gone now," she continues, the tears now slipping from her eyes as well.

"I love you my sweetest girl. Wherever you are, Chloe, know that I love you, so much," a sob breaks her voice, and she looks so distant, as if she isn't even speaking to me anymore.

"I love you." She disappears, fading from my life just as I'm fading from hers.
