Father Night

Dear father of the night doth send your stars to show.

Let your moon guide my path as i wander to and fro.

And i ponder FATHER NIGHT the owls peering from the trees;

are they looking at my footsteps, or observing me?

My wounds from the night they show,

only to heal at dusk's appear.

Let me ignore the owls cry ringing in my ear.

FATHER NIGHT please depart from my barely beating heart.

FATHER NIGHT i apologize, for i must pray.

To make it to the DAY

And DAY to find me walking, down my lonely road.

The owls to live in hiding, musn't hear the rooster's crow.

Destination find me waiting at the long end of my rope,

battle scars healing,

success I've never known.
