(a/n: third person's pov)

it was already 3am and jeongguk couldn't move or get out since sunmi was tangled with his body

he didn't want to wake her up and disturb her peaceful sleep.

jeongguk was lost in his thoughts staring at the cream ceiling when he heard sunmi groan.

he instantly diverted his attention to her.

sunmi's forehead was glistening in sweat, jeongguk didn't hesitate to wipe it with his sweater sleeves and removed the blanket over her body

jeongguk stared at her feature

"how can a girl be so pretty even if she's sick" he whispered as he brushed a hair away from her face

jeongguk noticed that sunmi doesn't look like a full korean.

her nose is too pointy and tall for an average korean person and her eyebrows aren't that straight.

as he was staring at her, his eyes shifted at her bedside table with a picture frame and a lampshade

there's a picture of a korean girl and a western looking guy holding a blonde baby.

and it has the features of sunmi.

omg that's sunmi.

jeongguk thought and smiled

a beautiful combination came out from her parents.

jeongguk slowly took out his phone form his pocket and took a quick snap of the picture

he forgot to switch the silent button on his iphone so it created a loud snap sound that made sunmi roll off of him and face the other side

jeongguk was kinda nervous about her waking up but she didn't so he let out a sigh of relief

he locked his phone and faced the other side, so he and sunmi are back to back

he spotted a folded paper, secured between two bottles of her perfumes in a clear acrylic organizer

what could that be?

jeongguk slowly reached out his hand and took the folded paper

it looks kinda old and tattery

he slowly unfolded it and was surprised when he saw the contents inside

sunmi's not so cliché bucket list

○ swim with the dolphins

○ ride the rollercoaster while holding hands with someone (this is cringey lol)

○ record a song

○ EARN A BLACK BELT

○ learn how to dance haha

○ go on a night roadtrip

○ skinny dipping

○ to live longer and to have a child with someone i love

the last one on the list made jungkook confused and fidgety

what does she mean by 'to live longer'

jeongguk took a picture of the list, folded it and returned it in place.

he glanced at the sleeping figure beside him

sunmi was sleeping and snoring lightly with her mouth slightly ajar

what am i going to do with you?

jeongguk thought.

he didn't feel anything serious with other girls. yes he flirts here and there but he never felt any attraction towards them but this time, it's different.

it's like he was ran over by a truck.

sunmi is different.

a positive kind of different that he wants to protect and cherish at the same time.

as much as selfish as it sounds, jeongguk really does want to do it.

he stared at sunmi's face that was lightened by the moonlight and gave her forehead a soft peck

"get well soon"

with a silent whisper, he stood up and wore his sneakers

he silently slipped through the wooden door and closed it.

this is a very short chapter but i still hope you like it 💋

school has just begun and it's still hard for me to adjust since i'm already a senior highschool (grade 11) student (a slightly new curriculum here in the ph)

but still, i will try to update this book with much better content as much as possible 💋
