"hey alyx"

i looked out of the closet, shirts and jeans in my arms and on my head

"yeah?"

scott walked over to me, plucking shirts and socks off my head

"i wanna dance"

i dropped the clothes in my arms and looked at him confused

"arent we going to teresa's party? we'll dance there"

scott moved closer and wrapped his arms around me slowly rocking to and fro

"do we honestly have to? cant we just stay here and have our own little party?"

"but what about teresa and the others? theyll be waiting for us"

id love to just stay home and and dance the night away with scott but im pretty sure the others would want to see us after being incognito for nearly two years

"screw them. didnt the last time you see teresa you said youd beat her ass if you ever seen her again? plus gee, curtis and dmitri come over all the time. pretty sure us missing one teeny tiny party wouldnt cause an uproar."

"i grew up and realized that violence isnt the answ-"

"please stay home alyx. i dont wanna go. i just want to stay home and be with you and only you."

scott looked down at me with puppy dog eyes before dragging me into the empty living room and running over to the fireplace ledge, messing with his phone. In seconds, the beginning of All Of Me began to play.

"really corny scott"

running back over to me, my big dork bowed and help his hand out, flashing a smile before putting his head a little lower.

"alyxndr filippovich, may i have this dance?"

i flushed and held out my arms, inviting him in. hes such a corny asshole.

scott rested his chin on my head and sang to me softly as the song went on, again, rocking to and fro, moving slowly to each side of the room.

"... dont know what hit me, but i'll be alright"

"hey scott"

"hm"

"..dont leave me. please dont"

he pulled apart from me to look me in the eye, confused before pulling me even closer

"id never. dont even...ill never leave you alyx. i love you"

i dont know why i was being so emotional. i looked up at him smiling, tears running down my face and my voice cracking

"i know about what your parents are saying a-and i dont want to lose you. i-i love you too much for you go"

"i promise, ill never leave"

he kissed me and smiled, placing his chin back on my head, singing the rest of the song as we practically waltzed around our living room
