It was a brisk Halloween night, the halls of beacon academy were spookily decorated and outside each dorm door was a jack 'o' lantern. But inside one of these rooms lay a red hooded silver eyed girl who looked out from her window sadly as all the other students were talking, laughing and enjoying the fine Halloween celebration going on. "Stupid team! how come they all get to enjoy themselves whilst I'm stuck here by myself" she asks herself whilst flopping down onto her bed.
Earlier Ruby's P.O.V
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T GO!" I yell at my teammates whilst standing up angrily, "Ruby were not letting you go to the party" says Yang looking at me sternly "yeah you've already eaten way too much candy like so much it's just become ridiculous" Blake is next to say whilst she stands next to Yang. "I agree so you can stay here whilst we go to meet teams JNPR and CFVY" says Weiss as they all exit the door in their costumes Blake as a ninja, Yang a zombie and Weiss in her Elsa costume "we'll be back later Rubes and remember no candy!" Yang yells as she slams the door behind her. "THIS SO ISNT FAIR!!!"
Present time~ "I'm soooo booooored!" I yell whilst standing up from bed and walk over to one of Blake's book shelves 'why does Blake always buy such weird books' I was about to walk away from the shelf until an old book falls from the very top shelf and hits the floor hard. Picking it up I realise just how old it is and read the title which catches my attention "Witchcraft: guide to the dark arts and demon summoning why would Blake buy something like that?" skimming through the pages I see something which interests me a lot " to summon a demon to fulfil your hearts greatest desire use this ritual WARNING: the following ritual is only for experienced witches only!" reading through the steps I see that I already had everything needed inside of the dorm. "Might as well I don't have anything else to do" rummaging through all of the dorms draws and cupboards I drew the symbol on the floor and placed the ingredients in the middle before looking back into the book for the magic words. "huh looks like there's a piece missing at the bottom, but can't be that important right?" after receiving silence I start up the ritual by lighting the candles, turning off all the lights and putting a droplet of my blood in the centre before finally chanting the magic words "Adue haka lambido nala ukaku budo shamtalor extasso!" after yelling out the final words I faced up and closed my eyes expecting something to happen but sadly nothing did. "Awww man I should of known that this wasn't real!" angrily I throw the dumb book over at the wall and watch as it hits the floor, "what am I gunna do now?" I ask myself whilst collapsing onto the floor. "Wait I know, Yang said that I wasn't supposed to be at the party but what if she didn't know it was me" I say to myself whilst getting out my costume.
No ones P.O.V Unknown to the little girl that her shadow started to change and took a different shape and almost as if it was alive it tilted its head as it looked over at Ruby. Looking over at her it was filled with a strong feeling that it had never felt before in all of its existence, but as the silver eyed girl looked over it quickly transformed back into her shadow. Shrugging Ruby continued to change into her costume unaware of the looming figure that was watching behind her.
Down at beacons party Ruby's team along with teams JNPR and CFVY were talking and laughing as the music played drowning out their conversation to everyone else. Not before long our little rose made her way down the stairs of beacons grand hall in her skeleton dress with a mask to cover the top part of her face and hopefully disguise her from her friends unaware of the demonic shadow which followed her every step. as soon as she enters she sees the stand full of all her favourite candies and runs straight towards them until she was nocked down by a tall figure "Hey!" looking up it appeared to be the school bully Cardin who looked down at her "Watch where your going pipsqueak isn't it past your bedtime anyway!" he laughs at the young girl as he walks away leaving her to curse at him under her breath wishing he'd just drop dead before moving back over to the snacks table. The shadow however just stood still with Ruby's words just echoing inside of its head before it looked over at Cardin's direction and seemingly disappeared.
Ruby's P.O.V As I was eating all the candy I could find off of the table I heard a commotion coming from outside so I follow the noise until I reach a group of people all crowding around something. Pushing my way towards the front I'm able to see what everyone is focusing on and I wish that I hadn't. it was Cardin slouched against the wall both his eyes were missing and his throat had been ripped out but the most noticeable thing was the rose which lay in his mouth, seeing all of the blood pool around him made me sick to my stomach. 'My god Cardin was a jerk but he didn't deserve this!' feeling like throwing up I rushed back to my dorm and emptied my stomach into the toilet, moving my way to the sink I turned on the cold water and splashed it on my face, looking up into the mirror I felt my blood run cold. Standing above me was what could only be called a demon its body seemed to be made of shadows except for its eyes which seemed to be all white but it only made the creature seem more menacing. lifting up its claws I could see the blood dripping off of them as it slowly inched towards me, I wanted to run or scream but my voice was caged and body turned to stone I could only watch in horror as it got closer towards me until...
I opened my eyes and saw the roof of my dorm "looks like I fell asleep" looking around I decided to get some sleep unable to shake off the feeling that somethings watching me.
