Chapter 9 "Does friendship even matter any more?"

"Listen, Natsu-"

"Ok, ash-for-brains listen up! You can quit acting cold to everyone! You can stop being a jerk now because we're family and family don't hate each other!" Gray yelled at his best friend.

"Now, whoever said that I hated you guys." Natsu said in a tone of sadness.

"Look, Natsu we can-"

Suddenly the door burst opened with a small figure. Makarov came out and said to gather out the mages because the meeting will be soon over. As soon as he said that Natsu stormed off to find the mages and left Gray, Erza and Lucy on their own to find something to past the time. They were all friends but it was awkward for them the three of them being together when Natsu was with them they would feel comfortable with each other but just without Natsu was just plain old...

... awkward.

Natsu Pov.

"I can't believe I did that." Natsu thought as he looked down the path of a dimly lighted hallway.

I had gathered Laxus, Evergeen, Bixlow, and Freed. I told them that Gramp's meeting with the king would be over soon.

"Listen, Natsu my will just head back by ourselves, 'kay" Laxus said before getting ahead of me.

I nodded and turned to the opposite direction as Laxus's team did. About 30 ish minutes have passed and I found everyone but search again for anymore members. I came across no one apparently but I headed back.

No one POV.

The mages who were assigned for this mission were all present except for one person...

...Natsu.

Suddenly the double doors burst open as a figure made out of a shadow.
