kitchen talk (Ukyo)

Lillian was up late drinking tea when Ukyo walked into the kitchen he seemed surprised to see Lily still awake at this time of night. He was in the middle of reviewing a case for a trial for the next day and he needed a caffeine charge.

(Lily) " Hey Ukyo..working hard I see"

(Ukyo) " Haha you can say that I'm just reviewing a case for tomorrow"

(Lily) " It's good to be prepared"

(Ukyo) "Yes.. Lily .. how's work going for you?"

(Lily) " You meet some interesting people but my favorite is the children. Although some of their parents are quite uptight talking about wanting to the sue the hospital if their child doesn't get the proper care. As a medical assistant there's only so much I can do and if their child has something life threatening like cancer we can only make them comfortable as we possibly can..sorry I'm rambling"

( Ukyo) " No it's okay I'm glad your passionate about your job , is it something you always wanted to do?"

(Lily) " now that I think about it.. I actually wasn't sure when I was younger but as I got older I realized I wanted to help people anyway I can. ...Ukyo your a very different type of lawyer"

(Ukyo) " Oh... at least you feel good about your job now, What do you mean?"

(Lily) " Yeah I do..well.. your not as scary as lawyer usually seem"

( Ukyo) " Lawyers can be initiating but we are not all that bad"

Lily gets up from her seat and hugs him then says:

(Lily) " Thank you for the chat but it's getting late and be both have to work so..sweet dreams Ukyo"

(Ukyo) " No thank you .. good night Lily"

Lily and Ukyo went there separate ways for the night but Ukyo kept recalling there conversation in his head then realized Lillian was much more mature for her age. She was also easy to get along with and was very openly friendly to them but why did his heart race when she hugged him. Was it weird to feel something for his new little sister?
