I was in the hospital yet again. Machines were making nosies. I could even hear the nurses feet as they ran. Home sweet home I guess. I looked at the calendar hanging on the wall. "April 8th 1984." I said aloud. I look around and spotted my parents looking at me through a window. They came in my room with a doctor. "Delilah we're so happy you're alive."  My father said with a hint of anger. My mother wouldn't even look at my. Her face was red. "Well no psychiatric wards will accept her so she will stay here for 2 more nights." My parents walked out with anger. I heard them yelling.

"Jessica we can't do this anymore." My dad screamed in my moms face. "She's our daughter." My Mom cried. "No daughter of mine will slit her wrist for attention! I bet she does want to die." My Mom slapped him in the face. "Why would she tried to kill herself three times??" They stormed out of the hospital.

I was feeling my arms as James ran into the room. "Hey you're alive." He said trying to make some light in the situation.  I half smiled. James has been my best friend since diapers. I thought he forgotten about me because he's in his band Metallica . "James I'm sorry." I sighed at him. "Don't be I promised not mad." He hugged me. "I have a gift." He said handing me a box. I opened up and it had  a ballerina on it. I winded up the box and a song played. "Delilah.... this song is called Fade to Black." He said sitting next to me in the hospital bed. "This is one of your upcoming songs?" I asked. "Yes I sing you the lyrics." He said

"Life it seems, will fade awayDrifting further everydayGetting lost within myselfNothing matters, no one elseI have lost the will to live Simply nothing more to giveThere is nothing more for meNeed the end to set me free."

"Things not what they used to be Missing one inside of meDeathly loss, this can't be realCannot stand this hell I feelEmptiness is filling me To the point of agonyGrowing darkness, taking dawn
I was me but now he's gone."

His voice sounded beautiful. "So much shit is going on. You aren't the only one battling this demon." He said. "I know.." tears rolling down my cheeks. "Just make me a promise." He said squeezing my hand and looking at me in the eyes. "Stay strong." I nodded. "I promise." I smiled back. I kissed him on the cheek. I didn't know what to do, but I knew I had to stay strong because of James. I know he's been some shit. He got his sound equipment stolen which must of been hell.

We looked at the clock. "I can't believe it's 1:30 in the morning." I said with a soft tone. "I'll sleep with you." He said. I cuddled up next to him. I'm happy he came to the hospital if he didn't I didn't know what would happen. "I promise I will get better." I whispered in his ear. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.
