Two minutes until six o'clock, when Brook's alarm clock would sound, waking him and his two children up. However, Brook was already awake, and had been for hours. Little did he know that his daughter, Reagan, was also awake. Reagan woke up at four o'clock as a result of the thoughts that raced through her mind. She was nervous, as any normal pre-teen would be for their first day at a new school, in a new place. However, not everyone was as alert as Brook and his daughter. In fact, his son, Reese, was sound asleep. Unlike his twin sister, Reese was not at all nervous for his first day at Degrassi Community School, the junior high school that him and his sister would be attending this year.

6:00

The alarm clock let out a loud, ear-bleeding ring as it called the Allen family into action. Both Brook and Reagan sat up reluctantly as they heard the loud ringing, while Reese continued to sleep through it. Reagan climbed out of bed and walked into the hallway that sat in between her father's room and her and Reese's room. She then grabbed the noisy alarm clock off of the bookshelf, that was hung on the wall in said hallway, and shut it off. Reagan then walked back into her shared room and grabbed her cup of water that had been sitting on her shared nightstand, which sat in between her and Reese's beds, and walked over to her brother's side of the room. She then poured the water onto her sleeping brother and watched as he jumped up, clearly startled by her actions.

"It's time to get ready for school. I'm gonna go get ready in the bathroom, so the room's all yours. Please pick up after yourself when you're done, I'm not in the mood to have to clean up after you." Reagan said monotonously before she grabbed her clothes and toiletries and headed towards the bathroom.

"Hey, asshole, why do you get the bathroom? I mean I'm the one that's gonna need a shower since you just dumped God knows what on me."Reese complained.

"Its water, dumbass." Reagan replied before slamming the bathroom door shut.

An hour later and thirty minutes later, the Allen twins found themselves standing outside of their new school. Their father, Brook, had dropped them off on his way to work. Reese, without even hesitating, quickly climbed the steps and entered his new school, leaving his sister behind to continue nervously staring at the front doors while frozen in place. As Reagan built up the courage to go inside, she noticed two boys pass by her, one of them riding on a scooter. As said boy began to fold up his razor scooter, his gaze met Reagan's; he smiled at her and she returned the favor with a smile of her own before nervously turning away and making her way inside. Once she entered the school, she was greeted by her brother and two boys from grade eight that he had befriended in a matter of minutes.

"Hey, you have the phone right?" Reese asked her, referring to the cellphone that they were forced to share.

"Yeah, why?" She asked, while glancing at the two boys standing next to him.

"Text dad and tell him that I'm gonna hang out with the guys after school, so I'll be home a little late." Reese said.

"How are you gonna get home?" Reagan asked.

"I dunno, I'll take the bus or something." Reese replied.

"The last bus leaves at four." Reagan informed her brother.

"Well then I guess I'll walk." Reese said. He was beginning to get frustrated with his sister.

"It's at least a two hour walk." Reagan said.
