Sorry for not updating this in like a month or longer... well, here it is! (sorry for the shortness)
"Oh, there she is," I heard my mom say. I kept my eyes on the floor so that no one could see the apparent scowl on my face.
"Oh, she looks just lovely. I'm sure she and Ian will get along just fine," a lady's voice said. So, Ian's the creep I'm getting married too.
"I sure hope so. Brookelyn, don't be so rude and look up," my mom scolded. I sighed and looked up to see two smiling people. The man looked in his late 40s with dark brown hair that was getting gray and brown eyes. The lady looked to be maybe late 30s or early 40s. Her hair was blonde and her eyes were blue. They both seemed very happy. Well, at least someone was.
"Hi," I said. I wanted to sound rude, but it came out sounding friendly.
"Oh, you are gorgeous. Our son is so lucky," the lady said. I forced a smile and looked around.
"Where is your son?" I asked. The man laughed. It was deep, kind of reminded me of Santa Claus's laugh.
"That boy is constantly busy. He couldn't make it, but you'll see him when you get to our house," the man said. I nodded.
"Alright, we should head out," the lady said.
"Goodbye. Be good, Brooke," my mom said, narrowing her eyes. I nodded my head but I surely wasn't keeping any promises.
I followed the couple out and they told me to take the second car. I got in while they got in the one in front. And then the car drove away from my old like and to this new unknown life I was sure to hate.
----Later----
It took about an hour and a half to get to the new house. It was big. Compared to my house, it was like a mansion of some sort. The exterior was nice and clean and looked professional.
"Let's go inside. Someone will grab your things," the lady said. I seriously have got to learn their name. We got in the house and it was even better than the outside. It had a warm feel to it.
"Not to be rude, but what are your names?" I asked. They both smiled.
"I'm Sharon and this is my husband Rick," the lady said. Ah, now I know their names.
"Awesome," I muttered.
"Alright, take the first room on the left. It'll be yours until you get married to Ian," Sharon said. I nodded and walked into the room. It was painted a dark purple with light purple stripes. There was a queen sized bed and a table with a laptop on it. There was also a door leading out to the balcony and a bathroom door. Man, this room was huge! And it was all for me. Alright, maybe this life won't be so bad. As long as I can get married and divorce the guy before anything happens, this life will be very satisfying to live. I mean, I deserve this for having to get married to this random guy all of a sudden.
From downstairs, I could here a door open and close and then some voices. I guess someone came home.
"Brookelyn, come down here. We want you to meet our son," Sharon called. Great, now to meet my future hubby. Joy! I ran down the stairs and stood at the foot of the stairs.
"Brookelyn, we would like you to meet Ian," Sharon said, sounding too peppy for my taste. I looked up and my jaws almost dropped.
Oh. My. God.
