Alive and Dead At The Same Time

Chapter 1

Here is chapter one for you peeps.

---- Lia's Pov ----

I see the sun coming thru the curtains in the morning and I can't help but smile. I can smell breakfast coming from the kitchen which smells really good. I start to stretch when I get out of bed and head to the bathroom attached to my bedroom (which I can have my privacy from my brothers).

I walk in the cold tile room and turn on the shower and waited for the right temperature. when it was warm I hopped in and it instantly relaxed my tenses muscles, I washed my hair and body then stayed for a few minutes then got out, I dried my hair then wrapped the towel around my chest.

I wiped the steam off the mirror and when I looked up it scared the crap out of me "Ahh" I screamed. right in the mirror was not me at all, my hair was black and skin was pale. what the hell happened to me and why didn't I notice before. then I was hit with realization about last night.

---- Flashback (last night) ----

" Hey Lia look a shooting star, lets make a wish but don't tell anyone or it won't come true" by friend Blare said next to me on the grass in my back yard. I saw the shooting star and closed my eyes to make a wish which won't come true ' I wish I was different from everyone around me' I thought and opened my eyes " what did you wish for" blare asked " you know I ain't gonna tell you cause you said so" I said in a sing song voice, she rolled her eyes at me " whatever" she muttered I couldn't help but laugh at her the she started laughing along and we both didn't notice the shooting star glowing a bright blue.

---- Flashback over ----

" What was the screaming abou-- oh my god, lia what happened to you. please don't tell me you got drunk last night and did this to yourself" she half shrieked " no and No! I would never do that. I made a wish last night when I saw a shooting star and I guess my wish came true" it came out a whisper.

My mom looked at me again and answered my question " what did you wish for?" she asked. when my mother wants to know something she never backs down at all.

" I wished to be different . I thought it won't come true but I guess it did" I said in a whisper that she can hear. " oh honey it's ok. go outside for some fresh air alright" and with that she left the room.

I guess I do need some air. I got dress in sweats and a band T-shirt and got a hoodie on, I put my converses on and got out the door. ' I think I should walk to the park' I thought and started walking to the direction to the park.

Some people I know gave me weird looks of why I look different but I didn't give a fuck what they thought. I should have never wished to be different and I don't know how different I am.

I took a deep sigh from my thoughts. I don't know where I was walking till I found myself at a cemetery. "the hell I got here" I looked around my whereabouts till a saw a lady in her forties stood in front of me. she kept saying 'help me' which was creeping me out till she stopped and said something I would never know " you have to help us" she pointed her finger at me but kept talking " save us, save our world. your the only one that has the power Lia for both worlds" she stared at me to answer " what are you talking about. and what worlds I have power to" I asked " you made a wish last night to be different, so now you are human slash ghost that you can see us. and the worlds are the human world and spirit world.

I was shocked what she said, I'm part human and part ghost " so your saying I can see you and other people" she nodded " but our world is crashing down Lia, you have to help us to stop the demon of taking our world to destroy it" " Ok I'll help you. what do I have to do" she was silent for a moment then She answered " you have to go to the spirit world to find this place called The Sleeping Ghosts."

I guess I get to do something cool. " be warned Lia, there is a lot of evil in the spirit world so you might make friends and enemies on the journey. you start tomorrow so come back here at six in the morning" and with that she disappeared.

Wow I guess I have made a pretty good wish after all.
