Goodbye, Farewell

The inside of me is breaking apart, as if my lungs are stabbing my heart.

With a sharp knife that makes it sore. I need a break and nothing more.

My mind is telling me to go along, while my heart is arguing for it is wrong.

But nothing is happening and it's getting old, just waiting for you out in the shivering cold.

I want to run but have no right way. I want to shout but have nothing to say.

For you've done so much that made me cry. This isn't a hello, it's a goodbye.

I'm waving as I head out the door. I don't want you, no not anymore.

For my aching heart won't play along, trying to sings a meaningless song.

I'm saying farewell for I'm heading out, I'm starting over without a doubt.

So don't come back for I will be gone, I'll find someone new to rely on.
