AUTHOR'S NOTE
On January 25th, 2012, the journey of writing this novel officially began. Starting out with only three pages, a fading green highlighter, and the help of a friend, this mere project grew into a three-hundred and ninety-eight paged novel. Half a year after finishing the original piece, I decided to rewrite the book, on my own, from almost complete scratch; the result: the following pages. I think that the number of pages drastically changed because while rewriting this book I started writing it for me and not for the world or even my friends and family. So this novel is all…well… me: Unabridged and imperfect. All the messages and strength I have given myself. I want this story to also ‘pay it forward’ for the support and wisdom I have received over the three years of writing this.
