Chapter 14

~ Mama Nicole POV ~

Beep Beep Beep
I opened my eyes only to realise that I was I the hospital hooked up to drips.
I turned my head and asked, "What am I doing here?"
But to my surprise no one answered. I turned on the other side and got comfortable listening to the constant beeping of the machine. Just then there was a knock on the door.
Me: Come in, I weakly said.

Anna: Heyy momma how you feeling?

Me: Just have a lil pain but am good other wise I think. What am I doing here?

Summer: While you were stepping into the house you collapsed on the ground again for the fifth time this month. Momma what's wrong, your pregnant why do you keep passing out like that?

Me: Summer sweetie I don't know, I don't know what wrong with me.
Then suddenly our conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. In walked my doctor with a sad look on her face.

Doctor: Hi I'm Dr.Melrose and I'm here your doctor for the remainder of your time here but I do have some news for you, not too good news.

Me: Ok Doc what's up.

Dr.Melrose: I'm would you like them to be here while I tell you?

Me: Yes it's fine they're family.

Dr.Melrose: Ok well we did some scans and tests and the reason why you've been passing out frequently is because your brain is not getting enough oxygen due to a blockage in one of the pathways and this blockage is a tumor which means...

Me: I have cancer, I said almost in tears. How long do I got?

Dr.Melrose: Now now Ms. Nicole let's not speak like that we will put you through surgery to get rid of the mass. You have brain cancer but with the doctors that we have here at this hospital are the best.

Me: Okay,but what about the baby?

Dr.Melrose: Well there are some complications,due to the fact that you are under stress because of the cancer it can cause you to have an early pregnancy. How far long are you?

Me: About 6 months now but I don't know the gender.

Dr.Melrose: Would you like to know?

Me: No I want it to be a surprise I just want to know if my baby is alright.

Dr.Melrose: Okay I'll see what I can do. I'll try to schedule an ultrasound for you.

The doctor turned around and walked through the door. Moments later Spring walked in.

Spring: Hey momma how are you?

Me: Am good how's the baby?

Spring: Well about that I planning on aborting the baby.

Me: Your planning to do what!!

Spring: Aborting the baby.

Me: Spring are you sure?

Spring: Yes mother I'm sure.

Anna: No Spring don t I'll adopt the baby after you give birth, I'll even take care of you while your pregnant. I just don't want to know that my niece or nephew could have been here with and I could have done something to keep them here but I denied. I would fail at my role of being an aunt and I don't want that for its gonna just haunt the fuck out of me.

Everyone turned their attention to the door as Dr.Melrose walked in with the machine thingy an the gel.

Dr.Melrose: Anna want you this gel is going to be cold.

I flinched a little as she squeezed some of the gel onto my bare stomach. It was indeed cold.
After seeing my baby for the first time and hearing its heartbeat I know that I could lay at ease for the time being for ma baby is safe. Everyone left the room deciding to give me some peace and quick which was what I needed at the moment.

~ Spring POV ~

Me: Anna why u never told me this?

Anna: Ion know maybe now was the right time to tell you.

Me: Well sought out the adoption papers as soon as this baby is born. Thanks a lot for doing this.

Anna: You don't have to thank me your my sister and that's my niece or nephew in there and I want to be a part of their life.

Short update,just a filler chapter.
NOTE: The next finna b fast forwarded to a couple of months almost at the end of Spring's pregnancy. Reason being ion have nothing to say cause thas boring stuff so Yh
