Madeline's POV
•I wake up very excited, you know why? today is my audition for American idol, I got up and got dressed, I'm wearing black ripped jeans my astros jersey and my checkered vans. I decided to curl my hair I didn't do much makeup just a little concealer and mascara then I ran downstairs and ate some watermelon(yum)! "Mads we have to leave now or we're gonna be late" my mom yelled I got suppppperr nervous "ok" I yelled back and ran to the car, I put my headphones in and started singing the song over and over, we arrive and I feel sick but push through it we go in line and get my sticker and wait.
~time skip~
It's been about an hour or two and I'm next I'm waiting and I see this guy go before me he looks my age(I'm 15) I hear him sing and it's amazing I then hear he gets four yeses I got happy for him, he comes off stage and I congratulate him" you're really good" I say "thank you" the boy said "I'm Madeline" I say and put my hand out"Daniel" he shakes my hand "so if we both go through we should practice together sometime"he said I smile and say"yeah I'd like that" it's my turn to go" I say nervous he then responds"hey you'll do great" I smile and walk on stage and greet the judges "hi Simon hi Demi hi Brittany hi kelly(ik those aren't the judges from his audition) "hi what's your name and how old are you" Demi says "I'm Madeline kemper and I'm 15" I say smiling "what are you singing today" Simon says "I'm singing I will always love you by Whitney Houston" the judges faces become surprised "that's a very difficult song" Kelly says "yes ma'am I know" I say "okay go for it" Brittany says, I start sweating and I belt out the words "and I-i-i-i will always love you" I end the song and tears come out my eyes but I don't let that bother me I then see every judge stand up and I smile the audience is cheering I look around not believing what I see"young lady you have some vocals on you" Simon says I nod and say thank you out of breath "so this is what I'm gonna do" he his the golden buzzer and gold confetti falls from the ceiling I start crying and run off stage to the judges and tackle Simon in a hug "thank you thank you thank you" I say he laughs and say don't make me regret it I smile and run to my mom"I DID IT" she hugs me and cries I see Daniel and we hug "you were amazing Madeline" I smile and blush "thank you dani" he gives me a slip of paper and it's his number" I picture a beautiful friendship between us" he says and walks away me and my mom run to the car and get inside and FaceTime my dad, he's in Iraq right now I miss him a lot he starts crying a cheering"bye daddy I miss you and love you" I say and hang up and go home and start to fall asleep till I remember about Daniel and text him"hey Dani it's mads" I then fall asleep smiling
