THE MOON WOLF (SHIPPUDEN Sasuke Love Story)

The Akatsuki visit. Whoo!

        I sat down on a comfortable patch of grass to get some rest. I had been running quite a while since I got the mission from the Hokage.

        This particular mission would last at least a week, not too bad. But I was so worried about Sasuke's wellbeing that the Hokage went to go tell him himself. Such a nice guy.

        I was about to start moving again, but was stopped by a voice that came not too far from me. I looked to see two people of the Akatsuki staring at me. 'Aren't I so lucky.'

        "Well well well. What do we have here Itachi-san." I know that's kisame. A former member of the seven ninja swordsman of the mist.

        I waved my tail happily at them. I was mostly staring at Itachi at the moment. Itachi stared back with a confused face while Kisame looked funny.

        Without warning I jumped on Itachi, pushing him to the ground, and started licking his face. Kisame was just standing there with a dumbfounded face.

        Itachi on the other hand laughed. O.o That is a very rare emotion to come by lately. When he finally got me to get off he smiled. Like this > ^/-\^ (Aww. Cute Itachi smile!!!)

        "What is this thing Itachi-san." Kisame looked back at me with practically a quizical face.

        "This Kisame, is the Mizuki clan's wolf. They have aided my clan for the longest we can remember. Itachi explained while wiping saliva off his face.

        He bent down and petted my head softly. 'This Uchiha boy suffered a lot. Why can't another of my clan aid him?'

        "Would you like to come with us?" Kisame asked and I barked in reply. They started walking to who know's where and I walked right beside Itachi.

        After a while we stopped infront of this HUGE boulder. Itachi held out his ring and the boulder moved. 'That's pretty awesome. No one can find this place.'

        I followed them through long hallways and stopped in front of a door. They knocked and walked in after hearing a faint 'come in'.

        I stayed behind while they told their leader how their mission went. When they were done they gestured me inside.

        I cautiously walked in and bowed to the leader of the Akatsuki. He rose an eyebrow at me but didn't say anything for a while.

        "What is your name?" I replied with a bark.

        "Can you even speak?" Silence~.

        He sighed and looked at Itachi. "She is your clan's wolf. It is your responsibility to take care of her while she's here." Itachi nodded in understanding.

        "And take her to Kakuzu. He can do something about her talking and other things. Dismissed." we walked out and Itachi led me down a couple more hallways before stopping in front of a door labeled 'money. save it. or I'll kill you'.

        He knocked and it opened seconds later to reveal a man with green eyes and a mask covering most of his face. He didn't have his Akatsuki cloak on so I saw stitches along his arms.

        "Kakuzu. Leader wants to see if you could do anything to get her to speak. And get her shifting stable." 'Ooh. Such a knowledgeable boy'

        The guy named Kakuzu looked me over and starting doing handsigns before touching my head softly. I felt a pull somewhere and before I knew it I felt more relaxed.

        Maybe that's why I never could shift back. Somewhere in my body was jammed, kinda like a switch. If something's wrong with it, it won't turn on.

        I shifted back and stretched my arms into the air. "Thanks! That was the worst seven years of my life."

        I saw that my clothes were on. Thank goodness for that. My clothes grew with me, so it stopped at my knees. My hair was now at my knees too. More awesome. It was still light blue. Yay!

        I got taller. Of course. Everything looked fine to me. Itachi smiled while Kakuzu only stared. I shook his hand gratefully and a reeeally small smile came onto his face.

        After thanking him a million times over, Itachi had to literally drag me out of his room. He led me down a couple more before opening a door and letting me go in first.

        I saw Kisame laying down and reading a book on "How to be an awesome fish." I sweatdropped for only a second before shaking it off and landing face down on Itachi's bed.

        

        He sat by my legs and started staring out into space. 'If only there was something I could do. I can't make a contract with him. Sasuke would definately hate that. And sometime in the future, Sasuke will kill Itachi, and I would have to die in his place. Or I can replace my life with his, and he can live happily with his brother again. But there will come a time where I will be torn between the two.'

        I sat up and pulled Itachi down so his head was on my lap. He looked shocked, but then relaxed when I started running my hand through his hair softly. Like a mother should.

        A couple minutes later I heard light breathing, indicating that he was asleep. My hand somehow held his and he tightened his hold slightly.

        I gently took his head off my lap and lay a pillow under it. I got comfortable and lay down on the soft mattress. His hand still held mine tightly as he slept away.

        My mind drifted off before I remembered.

        'What was I here for again?'
