"SHIT! Is this shade of blue too ridiculous for the bridesmaids dresses?" My sister, Jade has been
frantic ever since Kevin asked her to marry him. The wedding was this summer, in Ireland.
That's where Kevin was from, it made no since to me why they would want to pay for everyone to fly
across the world to watch a wedding. But, anyways I was gonna be her maid of honor, so I had to
do most of the work as in helping her make decisions. It made me so stressed out, but then again I
was really glad because it was a chance for us to get closer. I wouldn't be going to Ireland the
same time everyone else would be though. I have to finish up at school, it was my first year there & I
had majored in journalism. And school wasn't out til 3 days after everyone would leave for the
wedding. Kevin is super nice; him and my sister met sometime around last year. So it was kind of a
shock too everyone when they got engaged. But what everyone else doesn't know, is that Jade is
actually pregant! The reason behind the really puffy dress. I mean yeah they love each other alot, but
Kevin knew what he had to do for my sister, and that makes me love him even more (in a family way
of course!). Besides, I just got out of a really long relatioponship, 4 years to be exact. Troy passed
away while he was in Iraq, serving for the country. We were higschool sweehearts. So it has been
super hard for me to go out or to even be interested in anyone else. I also kind of ventured away
from my friends, and really didn't talk to anyone. Except my best friends, Brenn and Bella! They
helped me though everything and always know how to make me feel a whole lot better. Thats why
they are coming with me too Ireland, so we can make it a getaway from the real world.
"Ummm, shouldn't you have like green dresses since its in Ireland and all?" I screamed from down
kitchen. "You are a retard!." She's lovely right?. Yea, every since she told me she was pregant, she
has been super bitchy. I felt really bad that I was keeping the secret from my family, but exspecially
my mom and dad. Jade had been they favorite children since who knows when, of course they
loved me a bunch, but Jade has always been the one that they put everything in and had huge
expectations for. She was the first daugther anways. I have a brother, Dan. But he is a full on pot
head, and he lives in New York since 2009. Which is far from Georgia, so thats why we don't really
talk much anymore.
I set the table for the dinner we were holding tonight for Jade and Kevin, kind of like a pre-pre
wedding get together. The whole family was practically coming over, and so was Kevin's. The
dinner didn't start til later, which ment I had time to go up too my room and write!. Journalism
is my passion. Hense the reason I majored in it.
"Woah there Addison! I have someone I want you too meet!" Kevin said in his deep Irish accent.
Ever since Troy had passed, my family had been down my throat about dating, and finding
someone. They really don't understand how I still feel.
"Kevin, I really, really don't wanna get into anything. I'm not ready yet. Please." I had no emotion
what so ever on my face.
"I know, but please for me?." He had puppy dog eyes. I couldn't see him like that, so I gave in.
He walked me over too a short, overweight, almost bald guy. I knew Kevin meant good, but what
was he thinking, seriously.
"Umm, excuse me. I have to use the bathroom." After standing and listening for about 7 minutes. I
had to come up with an excuse. I'm not even sure if he was my age!.
