"Go, get ready!"
I groaned.
I wasn't in the house 5 minutes yet before my mom came around the corner.
I gave a dead look and she rolled her eyes.
"We have dinner with the sivians so go make yourself look nice." She grinned, disappearing into the kitchen.
I followed her.
"Mom, I can't go there today."
She rose one eyebrow, folding her arms under her breast.
"And why not?" She asked.
Well, I don't like Cyrus. He's a pain in my arse.
"Homework. I have a ton of homework".
For a minute there, she actually seemed to buy it.
"Why not just do the homework with Cyrus."
River walked in, yanking off his t-shirt and j felt like strangling him.
I shot him a look but he grinned evily.
"Aren't you two in the same classes?" River continued.
I could kill him right now.
Mom clapped her hand and ushered us out of the kitchen.
"It's settled. You'll work on the homework with Cyrus. Now you two go get ready, we leave in 10 minutes!"

I rolled my eyes, flipping off River which he just laughed off.

It's gonna be a long night.

****
The sivians didn't live far, almost 15 minutes walk but our mom insisted she drive.
I wiggled around my seat, trying to pull down my forest green tennis dress. River glanced back at me and I flipped him off again.
We pulled into the driveway and to my surprise, there were about 10 cars parked outside that didn't belong to the Sivians.
1 of which I recognized.
Rencee was here? At the Cyrus' house.. those two sentence don't make sense.
"Mom, I thought we were having dinner with the sivians." I asked as I leaned forward in my seat.

Hellen glanced at me as she threw the jag in park and nodded.
"We are." She laughed, grabbing her purse from River. " It's a dinner party. Didn't River tell You?"

River shrugged and stepped out the car and after a mintue, I did also.

The sivians lived in a Greek revival style house on a hill. I've always loved the tall columns and symmetrical shape.
"Hellen!" Cyrus' Mom, Eden was the first to spot us.
My mom face lit up when she saw her friend, they crashed into each other in a hug as if they haven't seen each other in ages when they went shopping two days ago.
It was cute.
Eden and my mom have been friends for as long as I could remember.
"Red, don't you look pretty!." Ms. Sivian grinned at me.
She branded me with the nickname 'Red' since I was a kid, mainly because my hair was ginger unlike my mom and sibling.
"Thank You, you don't look so bad yourself." I said and waved her off.
Eden was always so bubbly and nice and I never understand how her kid because such a jerk.
Actually, speak of the devil.
Cyrus winked at me from across the room but thankfully made no effort to come over.
After a few minutes of chatting with Eden, she excused herself to check on something in the kitchen but promises we would finish our talk later.
"Forest green? Interesting shade on You." Cyrus said as he leaned on the wall beside me, taking a slip of his beer.
I took in his outfit.
The navy blue polo shirt hugged him, making his sky blue eyes pop more. The outfit choice was normal for him.
"Um? Thanks, I think."
He gazed down at me, his eyes lingered on my lips then tiled his head, looking behind me.
I turned.
Rencee glanced up from his cell phone and our eyes locked but after a second he looked back down.
"I'll be right back." Cyrus mumbled but I barely heard him.
It wasn't like Cyrus didn't know he was here, so why was he?
"Phoenix is it?."
"Depends on who is asking-"
I looked up at the god of a man before me. He was tall and when I say tall, I mean tall like 6ft 4. Clear blue eyes sprinkled down at me and I almost felt my knees buckle.
He was handsome.. almost too handsome with his perfect skin and wavy, shinning hair.
"I'm Apollo, my family just moved in the down the street."
I just starced at him.
"Hi I'm River. The big brother." River appeared beside, smiling at Apollo. Apollo glanced at me,shaking my brother's outstretched hand.

Cyrus narrowed his eyes at me from across the room. Was that annoyance on his face?
My eyes wondered to Rencee who whispered something to Cyrus. My mouth dropped.
What the hell is going on?
Cyrus nodded at whatever it was Rencee said to him, leaning off the wall and walking upstairs with Rencee, who paused and tiled his head almost gesturing me upstairs.

I didn't hear much of the conversation between my brother and Apollo.
"I'll be right back. Nice to meet you Apollo."
I didn't even wait for a reply before I took off upstairs.

Their house was huge and I had no idea where they went. I walked down the hallway, looking around. I passed bedroom and bathrooms but still No boys.
"Phoenix".
Rencee popped his mass of curly hair out of one of the rooms I passed.
I starced at him for a second.
I was never this close to him, he was mesmerising.
"Come here." He straightened up, cracking open the bedroom door

Against my better judgement, I slipped past Rencee who by the way, smelt like he was rolling around in roses the whole day.
Cyrus glanced up at me from the laptop he was typing away at but didnt say anything.

"I need you to do something for me P." Cyrus said, pausing from typing and starced at me.
The shade of blue always made me uncomfortable, it was like he can see my soul but at the same time, it sent a feeling down...below if you get what I mean.
"Depends"
"Phoenix, it doesn't depend. I'm telling you. Stay away from Apollo and his brother."
I furrowed my eyebrows together.
"Why?".
"You'll know soon."
Cyrus shared a look with Rencee.
"Wait a minute!" I held my hand." I thought you two are supposed to be enemies."
"Oh, we are love but we share a common interest." Rencee smirked.
Okay something was seriously wrong here.
"And what would that be?" I asked, shifting the weight on my legs.
Rencee smiled sheepishly. "You."
"Me?"
"Yes You..but don't worry yourself about that right now. Go back downstairs, we'll back right there." Rencee gently shoved me outside, smiling at me then slamming the door shut.
I starced at the oak door, confused.
What the hell was that?!
I opened my mouth but I objected to it and turned, walked back downstairs to the party.
