"Now arriving to Planet Earth." The voice startled Auris awake from his tear induced nap. He peered out the window of the ship to see it approaching a blue and green orb, an orb his people had hoped to support life for their escape. However, it had been too late. Before Auris could evacuate his people, the Silvaticans had already begun their attack. It had been rumored that they were travelling from planet to planet, attacking until the planets would explode to bits to prove their superiority. So far, including Vexxon, Silvatica's army had destroyed over 50 planets in their galaxy, and had no plans of stopping."Breaching surface." Star announced, interrupting Auris' thought. The ship broke through the soft grey sky, slowly leveling itself and lowering to the ground. Blades of grass danced in different directions in reaction to the propellers of the ship as it landed. Powering down, the grass slowed its rhythm and settled back into place. Star opened the door automatically and a set of steps that touched the ground. Auris stretched his lukewarm grey arms and breathed in some fresh air. It was a change from the stuffy ship, the one he had spent days, weeks, even months in. He continued to take a deep breath until he choked.
New air, he thought to himself. I'll have to get used to it then. I have nowhere else to run.
Auris stepped into the grass barefooted, digging his feet into the gentle Earth. The chilling dirt embraced his warm feet, grasping for the heat. Wiggling his toes, unearthing the dirt beneath his feet, Auris spotted a city in the distance. He stepped toward the city, the grass tickling his feet with each step. As he approached, the buildings grew taller, taller than him. Auris noticed creatures walking fast paced, some in groups talking with each other, some alone.
They must be Earth's humans. Auris then realized that his grey complexion did not match their tan ones. And that the shape of his body did not match theirs; his four fingers compared to their 5, his bare feet compared to their shoes, his wide eyes and slit nose compared to their smaller eyes and constructed noses. He knew his looks had to change.
