Fireworks (Bokuto Kotarou)

Happy 4th of July! Since it's July 4th I'm hopefully going to get at least one story in today. I apologize in advance if it's bad, also, I know Bokuto lives in Japan so lets just imagine they go to a festival.

(Y/N) woke up in bed being wrapped in a muscular embrace by none other than their boyfriend, Bokuto Kotaru. "Good morning Kou," they whispered in a soft voice, flipping over to face the sleepy owl. "Morning (N/N)," Bokuto responded with and let go of (Y/N), bolting up to check what day it is "(Y/N)! It's July 4th! We should go to the festival!" He announced excitedly, making a bobbing movement with his head while glancing back at (Y/N) on the bed and the calendar quickly.

(Y/N) rolled towards their excited owl boyfriend and looked up at the calendar. "That should be fun! We can watch the fireworks and be all clique (I think that's how you spell it?) and lovely," (Y/N) joked with Bokuto and sat up, hugging him from behind.

(Timeskip to after breakfast)

They both sat around for a few hours, cuddling and watching random stuff on T.V. until it was time to get ready to go to the festival. "Kou, we need to get ready for the festival" (Y/N) reminded Bokuto about the festival and kisses his cheek, rolling off the couch onto the floor and walked to their room to get dressed for the festival. (Y/N) came out after about ten minutes of struggling to get the belt/tie thing around their waist (I'm not sure if there are any boys reading this which is why I refer to the reader as "they" instead of "she" or "he) "Kotarou can you tie this? I'm not sure how to tie it and it's hard to tie it from behind." (Y/N) complained to Bokuto and walked over to him and turned around. Bokuto tied it to the best of his ability and went to get his yukata on (I think it's called a yukata for males and a kimono for girls? Please correct me if I'm wrong). A few minutes later, Bokuto came out in a dark blue yukata with gray stripes on it. "Ready? The fireworks start at eight sharp." (Y/N) got up off the couch and grabbed the house keys and put them on a necklace. "To the festival!" Bokuto announced and quickly ran to the door.

When they got there, it was about seven thirty so they had half an hour until the fireworks started. "Kotarou! Lets get some food and go to our spot!" (Y/N) said quickly before pulling Bokuto to a takoyaki booth. After they got the takoyaki, they went up to a small hill with a single Sakura tree with the letters, ' B x (Your first initial)' carved into the trunk of the tree. Both of them went there every year for festivals. They had finished their takoyaki as they got up the hill. It was 7:57 and Bokuto hugged (Y/N) from behind, and turned them around to face him. They stayed like that for a few seconds and Bokuto leaned in to kiss (Y/N). When their lips made contact, the clock struck eight and the first firework went off. A red explosion of light and a large boom came as kissed. Bokuto pulled (Y/N) closer and wrapped an arm around their waist while (Y/N) wrapped their arms around Bokuto's neck. They pulled apart and the only words that were said after that were, "I love you," from both of them at the same time. They laughed a little and continued being affectionate until the end of the festival.
