a ' humorous' beginning

"Papyrus? What's wrong!" papyrus's jaw dropped. He stomped to a little wooden building. It looked like a lemonade stand. A blue ball of fluff was on top of it. It was rising slowly. "SANS! WAKE UP!" it gave a small snort as it slowly rose. It was a skeleton. He looked nothing like papyrus. His eyes were big, and he had a nice smile. " oh. hey paps. what's up? "SANS, YOU'RE SUCH A LAZY BONES!" sans just shrugged. "hey, this is a nice sleeping spot. plus if a human comes, I can stop them." Papyrus look at him strangly. "SO WHAT YOUR SAYING IS..." he suddenly became starry eyed. "YOU CAME TO YOUR STATION TO WATCH FOR HUMANS! TO HELP ME GET TO THE ROYAL GUARD!! NYEAAA!!" He bent down and gave sans a huge hug.

Once he let go, sans spotted me. The white pricks in his eyes disappeared. "uhh paps. who is this." "OH RIGHT. THIS IS :___:. :___: THIS IS MY BROTHER SANS." The pricks in his eyes reappeared. He gave out a smile. Why does his smile look fake? He stuck out his hand. "well then, im sans. sans the skeleton." I took his hand, when a loud, farting sound took over the forest. It was followed by a stretched out squeal. That's all it took to have me burst out laughing. "heh. the whoopee cushion in the hand trick. a classic." I saw papyrus slap his gloved hand over his face. "SANS WHY MUST YOU TORMENT THE HUMAN WITH YOUR HORRIBLE PUNS!" Sans just shrugged. "what? I thought it was funny. what about you kid?" I saw my chance.

For some reason I felt some connection to sans. I took my window to get to know him better. " Who me? I thought it was pretty 'humorus!" Sans loosened up a bit and laughed. We laughed harder when papyrus groaned. "SANS... WHY MUST YOU CORRUPT EVERY NEW PERSON WE MEET!!" "oh come on bro. did you loose your funny bone?" I laughed again. Papyrus just grabbed my hand. "IF YOU WILL EXCUSE US SANS, WE MUST CATCH UP TO UNDYNE AND SHOW THE HUMAN AROUND UNDERGROUND." Papyrus pulled my hand again and before I could say goodbye, we were gone.

(Sans pov/ some time skippp)
"Sans you've hardly touched your pie." I looked up to Tori, she looked at me with worry in her eyes. " heh. sorry Tori. I'm just bone tired." She cracked a small smile but it faded. " Having more nightmares?" I sighed.

She can always tell.
"uh yeah. I guess." She sat down next to me and placed her hand on my shoulder blade. " Sans. The best way to stop nightmares it's to talk about them."

I closed my eyes. I want to tell her. I want to tell her what I've been through. Why I don't trust Frisk as much as I should. Why I'm so protective of paps.

But I can't.

"eh. it's nothing. don't work your self up about it." She sighed. " So. What do you think about :___:?" "oh. she's. ok. I guess." I wouldn't have let her go on her own with papyrus. But Undyne was with them. It gives me a little bit of security.

Not much though.

" ya know, we can take her to Asgore. And we could be-" "SANS! HOW COULD YOU SUGGEST THAT!!"
She stood up from her chair. Tears forming I'm her eyes.
" Tori, we need to face the truth. you saved Frisk. Isn't that enough?" She closed her eyes. I could feel her sadness. " Sans, I've already forgiven Asgore for his terrible deeds. And I understand we need seven human souls. But I can't loose another child!"

"but you got Asriel back, Didn't you?"

Oh shit. Too soon.

This time. Tears came running down. "Asriel may be back, but he is not the same. How I wish my son could be loving. But he CANT! I love him with all my heart and soul. But after I lost the first human."

I could feel my magic welling up in me.

"Chara."

Tori looked at me.
"Yes. How did you know?"

" I- uhh. M-my dad told me!"

Oh shit again. Me and my big mouth.

"Your father? You mean... Gaster?"

I stood up.

"Sorry Torriel. But I need to go." I walked out of the kitchen. I could here Tori coming after me. But I was already gone.

I warped to Waterfall. I could here paps with the kid. I decided not to disturb them.

I walked to my favorite place in all of underground. I sat down in front of an echo flower.

" Uhh.. hey dad. You... You doing ok?"

(Your POV)

"AND THIS IS WERE I FELL INTO THE WATER AFTER MY 6558TH TRAINING SESSION WITH UNDYNE!" Papyrus was telling me about all of his training sessions. They were pretty interesting. I wondered how he hasn't joined the guard yet. "Papyrus! Come here a sec! I need to talk to you!" Papyrus looked over to Undyne. "WELL HUMAN. I MUST GO NOW. BUT HEDE ARE SOME PUZZLES FOR YOU UNTIL I RETURN!!" He set down a rubix cube, a cross word, and plate of spaghetti. He ran off to meet with Undyne.

I decided to explore myself.

Everything was so beautiful. The lights on the roof looked like stars. I walked along the path until I saw a hallway. Out of curiosity, I followed it.

The room got dark.

But in the distance I saw, something glowing. I walked twards it to see it was a flower. A big, blue flower glowing in the darkness.

I saw more. And more. So I followed the trail of flowers.

When I heard a voice.

"I wish you were here."  I called out. To see who was here. "Hello?"

The flowers. Were talking.

" You should see him. I think he's getting closer to his goal. You'd be proud."

I followed the voice. Some how it was, familiar.

I walked into a clearing. Many flowers lit up the room. A monster was in the middle. Talking to a large flower.

The flower had stones around it. Around the stones were different types of flowers. There was also some papers, a picture, and a bottle of ketchup.

" Hello?"
The monster shot their head around. I realized it was sans.

"K-kid! How did you-" I covered my face in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry! I didn't know this was your spot!! I just followed the flowers and they were so pretty! And I heard talking coming from the flowers so I followed the-" " echo flowers. "

"What?"

He stood up. "their called echo flowers."

He came twards me. And streched out his hand. " Come on. I'll show you."

I took his hand and followed him to the echo flower. We sat down.

"H-who we're you talking to?"
He shrugged. "just an old friend. Ya know, legend has it that if you tell an echo flower a wish, it'll come true. I looked over to him. The light from the echo flower reflected of his white bones. It gave him a beautiful glow. I couldn't help but stairing.

(Sans pov)

I could feel the kid looking at me.

I didn't feel to comfortable. Especially after the runs with Chara.

I looked over to the kid.

I felt numb.

Her eyes sparkled in the flowers light. Her hair waving In the soft breese of the water.

Suddenly all my anxiety, my fear, washed away.

It was interrupted by a loud nyeh.

"SANS! HUMAN! IM SO HAPPY YOU ARE BECOMING FRIENDS!" I looked over to pap. Kinda annoyed.

"whats up bro."

"I HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL IDEA!! HOW ABOUT, TO GET TO KNOW THE HUMAN BETTER, YOU, FRISK, :___:, AND I HAVE A SLEEPOVER AT OUR HOUSE!"

" uhh paps are you sure?"

"SURE IM SURE!! WHAT DO YOU THINK HUMAN!!" she looked kinda surprised. "uhh it all depends on what Torriel says. But why not?"

" NYEHEHE!! OF COURSE!! I WILL CALL TORRIEL IMMEDIATELY!!
