Deep breaths

I run down the halls of the mansion. My feet slap the floor like thunder. My heart is beating hard in my chest begging to get out. I know I can't stop, for if I do I risk my life.

I skid around a corner, I don't know where I'm going all my mind is screaming is run.don't stop. Get out. Over and over again like a bad jingle to a commercial.

A roar shakes the house. It sounds as if it's behind me. Down the corner I just passed.

No No No No!

I know in my gut this is not good. The beast is catching up.

And it doesn't want to play.

It want to kill.

I run down the hall faster then I knew I could. Fear driving me. The lights seem to dim adding shadows on the walls. I check the doors, running to each one, not stay to long on one.

But their all locked.

I shake another handle.  It jingles but dosn't budge.

Shit

I hear the thumbing of feet.

No paws.

They're getting louder, the beast is almost upon me.

I try to ram my shoulder in to the door, hoping it will break the lock.

I only hurt my self in the end. I check the hall way one more time. The beast stand down a good 100 feet away.

It's like a smoky shadow as if it's not there but then u can see it's strong body, it's eyes a thousand of flames a lit. It's muscles tense ready to pounce. To claim it's prize, its feast.

A scream claws up my throat.

I have to stay calm.

I swallow my scream and stare at the beast.

It stares back. Almost intelligent look to it's flaming eyes.

It smiles a toothy grin. Feral and fatal.

It wants to play some more. To chase.

I know these halls go on and on. I have no way out. I can only run. I can't kill the thing. It's the size of a freaking horse.

I take a deep breath.

I turn the heel of my foot lighting fast, springing into a sprint.

The beast roars, but it starts to muffle.  The floor seems to disappear, I'm not running anymore but kicking in a liquid. I'm in water?

How did I get here.

I try to calm my breathing as water surounds me. It's to my neack.

"When it breaks push your way out, I'll right behind you!" Kyle yells next to me.

When did he get here. It's dark and I can barely make him out.

Where's Ash?

I want to ask him, but words won't past my lips all I can do is nod telling him I understand.
