"hey." yoongi introduced himself like he didn't know me from the night before. did he forget who i was.

"this is my cousin. remember her? from the other night?" hoseok asked.

"oh yeah. i'm so sorry. you look a lot different without your glasses on." he turned to face me.

"its fine." i said and looked down.

"well don't have too much fun areum!!" hoseok said jokingly. i looked at him with brooding eyes. he reassured me with a smile and walked out of yoongi's apartment.

"so what made you want to take piano lessons?" yoongi asked me once hoseok left.

"trust me. i didn't want to. hoseok didn't really let me decide." i said and yoongi laughed.

"yeah. hoseok can be an ass sometimes."

all of the sudden we heard a noise from the hallway.

"i am not!!" hoseok yelled.

"shut up. the neighbors can hear you." yoongi said and locked the door so hoseok would go away.

"oh my gosh..." i said. did he really just-

"okay we should start now." he led me to the piano bench and he sat on a chair beside me.
"you know you seem a bit old to just now be starting piano lessons."

"i used to take piano lessons when i was younger, but i quit because i was bad at reading music." i said and he nodded.

he began reviewing the notes with me. once i showed him that i could remember the notes he wanted me to play a song.

i played through it really slowly. i could see from the corner of my eye how frustrated yoongi was. i wasn't sure what one of the notes was, so i looked over to him.

"its g flat." he said to me. my hands were resting on the keys until he moved my finger to play the g flat key.

"oh." i was embarrassed.

"now i know why you quit." he said.

"hey!" i yelled.

"i teach kindergarteners that are better than you." he continued. i gasped and crossed my arms.

"whatever." i began to pout. "you don't have to teach me. i can just tell hoseok's mom that i don't want to take piano anymore."

"do you want me to give you candy every time you show up to a lesson?" yoongi asked.

"okay i'm not a child!" i argued. "you know, i feel bad for the kids you teach. you're probably so mean to them."

"nope, just you." he said.

"why?! am i that bad? i'm sorry i didn't know g flat gosh yoongi maybe you should-"

all of the sudden his alarm went off.

"finally. you can leave." he said and i frowned.
"i'm kidding." he laughed, showing his gummy smile once again. "you're actually not bad."

"i'll text hoseok, so he can pick me up."

i texted him to pick me up and i wasn't getting a response. usually he answers sooner.

since it was taking so long for hoseok to answer, yoongi decided to start a conversation.

"so how is school going?" yoongi asked.

"it's alright i guess. thanks for asking." i replied.

"what grade are you in?" he asked another question.
