BLACK'S POV

"RUN!" A blurry blue streak shouted.

"I TOLD YOU IT WASN'T A GOOD IDEA TO RAID OAKWOOD HIGH! IT'S FULL OF ZOMBIES," I screamed at my other 2 companions while we ran for our lives.

"WELL, AT LEAST WE GOT TOMATOES!"

"RED FOR THE SAKE OF TOMATOES YOU'RE WILLING TO GET US ALL KILLED!?" I resisted the urge to just feed her to the zombies right then.

"Admit it! Our supplies wouldn't even last til tomorrow! AND WE HAVE AT LEAST 5 PEOPLE TO FEED," Red said looking at Blue.

"HEY!"

"DON'T CHANGE THE TOPIC YOU TWO WILL HAVE A STERN TALKING WITH ME WHEN WE GET TO THE CASTLE-"

"IT'S NOT EVEN A CASTLE!" Blue interjected. Well, that was true. Our home, a apartment, was sadly one of the first buildings that were fully infected. But we fortunately survived. We ended up in this mansion that was abandoned, no infected or no other living life had been in it. With alterations made, it slowly turned into our home.

"BLACK! Watch out!" I snapped out of my reverie to see Blue round house kick a zombie.

"Nice save," I patted her shoulder only to realize that we made it to the Castle-ahem-house.

"BLUE THE KEY!" Red frantically held out her hand towards Blue.

"WHAT KEY!? IT'S NOT WITH ME!"

Damn it.

"Find the key Red! We'll hold off these idiots." After a few moments of us beating up some dead ass Red pulled us through the door. We made sure the door was locked and all and started unpacking our supplies.

As I sat next to Red on the couch she sighed, "I miss the old days when we would always run thru the halls and mess each other up."

"Why don't you watch TV, try to get your mind off stuff," Blue responded from behind us. Yes, we have electricity and power. Wait, what were you thinking? The normal "ruined buildings and dead cities" type of Zombie Apocalypse? Nah, not in this time of age. Red turned on the TV but as soon as she did she turned it off again.

"Ugh static, again."

"Watch our old videos then, that might work," I said as Red stood up and walked over to the kitchen.

"Nah, might make me tear up, I don't want to cry. I miss them but no," she said as Blue walked over to me. "We have to survive ether way, God knows if they're alive or......"

We all looked at each other, not wanting to finish Red's sentence. It was evident in their eyes how tired they were, how frustrating this all could be. As I looked unto short curly hair and tanned skin to short straight hair and brown skin I started to realize that after all we've been through these two goofballs have changed.

"Hey, Black! Yo! You've been staring at us for like ages! Have you been starting to realize how awesome I am?"

"Blue, you're forgetting about how cool I am."

Nope. Nope, I take it back. "Idiots, there's dirt on your faces that's why I was staring." I giggled as they scrubbed the made-up dirt on their faces.

"HEY THERE WAS NOTHING!"

"Fooled ya!" But as we were giggling the radio interrupted us.

"Hello hello? The next wave is in 3 hours. I repeat the next wave is in 3 hours."

WHAT!? 3 hours! We looked at each other shocked to hear the news. We all scrambled to finish the work we all had to finish. I instructed Blue to put traps on all places that I knew were weak spots in our house. Red began to work on the mechanisms and places that needed fixing while I start handling the work plan.

It was all silent until Blue spoke up, "LOOK I FOUND PAPRIKA!" And decided to try putting it in soup which Red, the cook, looked at her in disgust.

All was quiet after that, save for the occasional words exchanged between us.

Until Red spoke up,

"Guys? I think you need to look at this."
