(Gage's POV)

This was all too much.

This dumb killing game had been on his mind all day, and with the new motive introduced, the anxiety he had been feeling before only increased by tenfold. It felt like his heart was arguing with his head when it came to all this, and the promises he'd made felt like they would snap at any minute. This was too much.

Simply put, he was dying. Mentally, definitely. Physically, probably! His sticks for limbs weren't helping him in the slightest in this situation. Even if he wanted to kill someone (which he most definitely didn't, thank you very much), he'd probably run out of breath just by planning the freaking thing. He was breaking.

He groaned.

"You okay, dude?" Kendra called, snapping him from his daze-like state. They were rummaging through the fridge, apparently searching for tomatoes. He doubted he'd ever understand their obsession with them, but nevertheless, he simply watched as they threw food onto the counter.

"We're trapped in school, Kendra. Who would be okay in this situation."

They paused their movements, appearing to be deep in thought, before suddenly returning to what they were doing. "Good point."

"I hope you plan on cleaning all this up." Dj said, walking into the kitchen. The three of them, as well as Owen and Theo, were the only ones still awake. After the motive was introduced, everyone seemed to run to their rooms and lock themselves in. He wanted to do that too honestly, but he wasn't tired (emphasis on wasn't), and Kendra was dying to make a 'tomato sandwich', and refused to be left alone with the other three. So here he was. Slowly perishing.

Not only that, he was also suddenly really sleepy. His eyes were struggling to stay open. What time was it?

"I am going to clean it up, thank you very much." Kendra spat, narrowing their eyes at the other boy. Get em, tiger.

Dj rolled his eyes and pushed past them, looking in the fridge. "What are you even trying to find?" He asked. They furrowed their brows.

"Tomatoes. There's everything in here except f*cking tomatoes! Alcohol, cottage cheese, but no tomatoes!"

He smirked, condescending. "Watch your language."

"Eat my ass."

"No thanks, I'm on a strict no-shit diet."

This was never going to end. Gage yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Did you look in all the cabinets, 'n stuff?" Kendra nodded.

"I did! There's no tomatoes here whatsoever! What's even the point if I can't even have a decent meal! I might as well just—"

"Be quiet! You're so freaking loud! People are sleeping!" Theo called from the kitchen. Owen laughed, and Kendra groaned, walking out of the kitchen and to the table they were sitting at. Gage followed.

Once there, they slumped into the seat, sulking. Honestly? Same. "Sorry. I just? I'm dying. This is how I die."

"Quit being dramatic, dweeb." He said. He guessed he couldn't really talk, considering he had just been brooding about how he was dying. "You'll live without tomatoes." Kendra only groaned again.

Theo raised a brow, smiling. "Do you have some kind of tomato fetish or something?"

Owen and Gage laughed, nearly choking, and Dj merely gave Kendra a pat on the back. He couldn't lie. That was funny.

"I don't have a fuckin' tomato fetish, douchebag! I just— augh!" They slammed their head onto the table. "This is pain."

Gage brought his hand to their shoulder. "Same, man."
