Laruto stood in front the giant statue of Link and Mipha. The two were back to back, Link held the Master Sword while Mipha held her Lightscale Trident.
Laruto guided her hand around the beauty of the architecture. "Father....I wish I could meet you..."
"YAHHHHHOOOOO!!!" Poseidon shouted, swimming up a waterfall and soaring into the air.
Laruto groaned, closing her eyes and huffing. "POSEIDON!!!!" She shouted.
Poseidon landed in front of Laruto, a large grin on his face. "Yes sister?" He answered trying to sound like his Uncle.
Laruto clenched her fist. "WHAT IN HYLIA'S NAME ARE YOU DOING!?" She shouted.
Poseidon grinned. "I'm training to go to the Forest and pull out the Master Sword!" He said.
Laruto slapped him. "Mother said NO ONE is to touch Father's sacred blade!"
Poseidon rubbed his sore cheek. "I don't care! I can feel it call to me!"
"You aren't worthy!"
"I FEEL FATHER TELLING ME TO DO IT!"
Laruto halted, her heart nearly broke. "You....feel father....calling you?"
Poseidon nodded. "I know how much you have wanted to do it....so I came up with an idea!"
Mipha walked over. "Why are you two arguing?"
Laruto hugged Mipha tightly. "Oh mother! I want to wield the Master Sword! Poseidon isn't worthy of Father's blade!"
Mipha held Laruto. ".....Laruto.... Have you ever looked in the mirror?"
Laruto sniffled. "What do you mean?"
Mipha kneeled, looking to Laruto's eyes.
"If you hadn't noticed....You're not like Poseidon....nor Lazuli..." Mipha said. "Your face is that of a hylian, but your scales and tailfin....state you are a Zora...." She explained.
"You're unique. Your long sideburns remind me of your father....and your small tailfin is like his ponytail..." Mipha stated.
"You are the spitting image of your father...." She said.
Laruto smiled. "I am...?"
Mipha nodded. "Now. Is it time to leave yet, Sidon?"
Sidon hopped down, smiling. "Let the first test begin!"
Mipha smiled. "Lazuli!!! Do come down!" She shouted at the red haired hylian child.
Lazuli stared down at the group, he was ontop of the giant Zora's Domain Fish. His shoulder-length hair flowed with the wind.
"LAZULI!" Laruto shouted with a smile.
Lazuli was the smallest child due to being the only whole hylian. Poseidon was full Zora and Laruto was hybrid Zoran-Hylian.
Lazuli used a Zora shield to gently slide down the fish's tail, the Zora shield broke on contact, causing Lazuli to fall.
"Poseidon! Catch him!" Mipha shouted.
Poseidon backflipped down the waterfall, swimming back up it to catch Lazuli before he fell.
Both boys landed safely in front of Mipha.
Lazuli hopped down, walking over to Mipha.
Mipha held his cheeks. "Are you hurt?" She asked.
Lazuli pointed to a scratch on his arm. "Poseidon scratched me." He said monotonously.
Mipha held his arm and hummed softly. "Your skin is softly....this reminds me of how I use to heal your father...."
"Mom? What's the worse injury dad had?" Poseidon asked.
Mipha smiled a bit. "Well.... I remember when he had just gotten back from defeating Vah Rudania...."
~
He was covered in cuts, bruises and burns. I was a worried mess...
"Could you be anymore reckless!?" Mipha shouted, tears welling in her eyes.
Link groaned softly as he got up. "I'm fine..." He said.
"Sorry Miss Zora....I didn't plan to let him go all alone..." Daruk said, scratching the back of his neck.
"You let him go alone!?!!" Mipha shouted.
Link wobbled a bit. "I said I'm fine..."
Mipha cried, burying her face in Link's chest.
Link held Mipha as she sobbed. "Mipha..."
"Why are you so stupid.....? You could've died...." Mipha sobbed.
"Mipha....I had to save Daruk...." Link held her.
A light blue glow emerged from Link's chest, Mipha was healing him.
"Stupid...Rudania..." Mipha sniffled as she continued healing.
"I see you defeated Waterblight on your own..." Link smiled, trying to lightened the mood.
"It was a simple task with your weapons..." Mipha muttered.
Link kissed her head. "I love you...."
"Shut up. I'm still mad at you...this is going to take hours to heal..." Mipha said.
So....Daruk let dad go in Vah Rudania on his own?
Yes. And it was very stupid of the goron.
But mom. If it wasn't for dad, Daruk would've died....
Indeed Poseidon...but your father could'be at least let Daruk go with him.
Thank you Sidon...
~
Laruto held her hands to her chest. "Mother...I do not understand one thing...."
"And what's that, Laruto?" Mipha asked.
"The Princess....she fought alongside Father when he fought Ganon, right?....How is she still alive....but not Father?"
Mipha took a deep breath. "I do not know....I haven't spoken to Zelda in quite some time...."
"I think you should, sister..." Sidon said, placing a hand on Mipha's shoulder.
Mipha looked down. "Zelda.....was....envious of me and Link....I do believe she had feelings for him...."
"Oooh!!!! Can you tell us about Zelda next!?" Poseidon asked.
"I do not wish to speak with or of Zelda....maybe Sidon can..." Mipha turned away.
Sidon sighed. "Can....Can I tell it later? We have to go to the Korok Forest...."
"YEAH!!!!" Poseidon jumped.
"But no one pulls the sword out!" Mipha said. "If you can, don't!"
"Your mother is right! You three are going to TOUCH the Master Sword...not wield it." Sidon said.
All three children groaned."Fine...."
