"Thank you!" I say. He nods as he walks back down the drive way my things in hand. "No problem." I pick up my purse and grab my coat. Is still smells like alcohol. After haze dropped me off last night I went inside and found my mom laying on the ground bottles everywhere.
As I shit and lock the door I place the key under the mat. I walk down and to the black suv he sent to pick me up. The driver opens the door and as I stick a foot in I stop. "Thank you. I didn't quite catch your name." I blush. He smiles and shakes his head. "Alex or Campbell. Ether one mrs. Elizabeth."
I internally cringe and shake his hand. "Please call me river or Eli." I say. He nods and then I hop into the car. He shuts the door and runs to the driver seat. He makes sure I'm buckled and I blush. As we make our way to the house I notice we're going to the rich part of town.
"Excuse me? Are we going the right way?" He smiles and nods saying nothing. I sigh running a hand through my curled hair. I look down at myself and make sure I don't look crazy.

I have to go shopping this afternoon after work. This was the only thing I had that was business like and I knew if I went into my moms closet I would die. I sigh and make sure the makeup covers my bruises and scars. I close my eyes and set my head back against the seat.
The car comes to a stop and I go to open my door but Alex beat me to it. I go to grab my stuff but he takes it and points me in the direction I need to go. I walk up to the door and Alex motions for me to open it. I nod and bit me lip as I turn the door handle.
I hold it open as he carries my stuff up the stair and around the corner leaving me alone. A maid comes around and sees me. She glares and rolls her eyes as she continues her work.
"Hi! I'm." Im quickly cut off. "Listen here you bitch! Haze is mine! Got that? And if you even think or touching him I will not hesitate to- TAKE YOUR COAT!" She suddenly smiles and grabs my coat out of my arms at the sound of feet on the hard wood.
Alex emerges and comes to me with a smile. "I'll see you later Eli." He smiles. I grin back and bite my lip. He smirks and leaves without further words. As I turn back around the maid is gone along with my coat. I stand there akwardly. I notice paintings along walls and I go over to look.
