Chapter 2;
Madison Hill wasn't very far from Tori's flower shop, so I decided to stop by. I wanted to know who this guy really was and to see what all the hype was about. He might donate since it's to a good cause... I just wonder if he would even show up.
I pulled up to the end of the driveway, and slowly got out. I collected my breath, and pushed open the creaky, tall, black gate. As I walked up the narrow sidewalk, the mansion was truly beautiful and a bit creepy looking.
The mansion was at least three stories tall, with big open windows, and a huge black, beautiful front doors with engravings in them. He had a garden full of dark red roses in front of his windows. His grass was cut beautifully and it was a dark green.
Damn.
I reached the front door, took a deep breath, and grabbed the beautiful golden handle and knocked. I didn't have to wait long until a man with a butlers uniform came out. He wasn't the old type of butler. He had blond hair, a non-wrinkly face, and beautiful brown eyes. Was this him?
"May I help you?" He asked, in a husky voice.
I gulped. Why was I nervous?! "I'm here to speak to the owner of this home. Is he here?"
He looked back, and smiled. "I believe he is busy at the moment, but I can leave a message for him if you'd like?"
I shook my head. "I would rather speak to him, personally if that's okay... My name is Natalie Hilton,"
He grimaced. "You're a persistent one, aren't you? One moment," he closed the door gently, and I was left standing here. I was standing here for a good 10 minutes before the butler came out again. This time, he had a note with him.
He slipped me the note, and smiled once again. "This is from the master. Come back later tonight, and he said he will discuss things with you. Now have a good day," he closed the door again, and I heard him locking the doors. I huffed as I gripped the letter tightly in my hand.
I stormed back to my car, threw the letter in the seat, and drove back to my home.
-
'Miss Natalie Hilton,
I formally invite you to have dinner with me at 7pm tonight, and we may discuss things as we dine. I would sure hope to see you, and please, do come alone.
Sincerely, Mr. Michaelis'
I put the letter on my vanity, glaring at the words. I was mindlessly fixing up my hair and picking out a slim, cut at the mid thigh, black dress. I didn't know what to wear to these type of occasions, so I chose my best outfit. I wanted him to take my seriously.
After all, he is a millionaire.
I finished putting my make up on, and I grabbed my purse. I quickly rushed out the door. It was already 6:50, and I wasn't even half way there.
I grunted to myself, as I finally reached the household. I walked up to the door and right on cue, the butler opened up the door. He smiled, pushing up his thin glasses. To be honest, the butler was hot. He opened the door for me, and led the way to the dining room.
The house was even more beautiful than I could ever think possible. There were glass chandlers in almost every room, the rooms were filled with family air looms and fireplaces. It was marvelous. The butler held out the chair for me, as I sat down and he pushed me in. The table was super long with dark red cloth on it. The room was kinda dark too, with a few candles here and there.
"Can I get you some wine, miss?" The butler asked, bowing down to me ever so slightly.
I felt kinda uncomfortable but I nodded. I wasn't used to people serving me. He nodded and left the room. I heard footsteps come from the other side of the room, and I saw a dark figure step out into the light.
