"Anna, you are running late!"
What? Ugh, so I wasn't dreaming. Damn high school, I wanna sleep 5 more minutes... Or hours. Ok nevermind. "I'm getting ready, mum!" I shout to my mum, who is probably getting ready as well for her job.
I can't believe it...it's my first day at this freaking high school in London. Yeah, I'm from Romania. Never heard of it? It's a small country in Europe. I grew up there and my mother just had to come here for her job, so I decided to transfer here.
This has always been one of my biggest dreams. This and becoming a singer. Of course, my family is not that rich and we can't afford a private music school. Sounds a bit clichee...oh well.
Shaking my head, I got up from bed and forced myself to the bathroom. After a quick shower and the morning siesta, I quickly got dressed in my uniform and went downstairs.
"Sorry, mum. I couldn't really sleep last night... You know, scared of high school and shit." I mumbled and kissed her forehead, since she was a bit small compared to myself.
She just chuckled in response and handed me some money. "I can't believe my daughter is almost 17, this is so exciting! Are you ready for school?" She asked, a big smile plastered across her lips.
I chuckled softly and nodded, putting the money she gave me somewhere I knew I wouldn't forget about them.
"Let's go then!" She shouted enthusiastically and threw a punch towards the ceiling, out of too much excitement.
Damn, this is going to be a hell of a day.
