"Okay, everyone stand-by please."

The backstage was cramped, dark, and only screams from the fans could be heard. Artists were lined-up orderly for the opening, but I couldn't seem to calm down for some reason.

"Nervous? It's not like you're doing this for the first time." Jimin patted my shoulder, smiling widely that it annoyed me. "Still sad of the MC role I bet. Right?"

If you only knew how disappointed I was, but ofcourse I wouldn't admit it.

I could only scoff. "Buzz off Jimin."

He raised both of his hands as if he was surrendering, "Hey, I'm just sayin'. You look like you were looking for Irene." I only rolled my eyes at him.

He was right though. The rest of her members are here, but Irene was nowhere to be found. "Whatever. Come here and let me knock some sense in you." I threatened.

But I only did that because I wanted him to step back a little, just so he could hit Seulgiㅡand he did. He almost fell backwards, and Seulgi caught him. Right timing.

"I-I'm sorry!" The fool apologized and took a bow. Seulgi was flustered, but she immediately smiled and said that it was okay. He turned beet red real quick after that, and I just had to hold in my laughter.

We're already used to Red Velvet being next to us in line, wherever, whatever the event. It's actually nice. We always meet backstage that we're basically comfortable with each otherㅡnot that any of us are friends, but we're getting there. Kinda.

But everytime Red Velvet is in front of us, Jimin's fanboy ass couldn't help but always feel giddy; so I did him a favor.

"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Jimin whispered angrily at me. I just shrugged and chuckled lightly at his creased up face. "I'll pay you back later." Jimin smirked, but he didn't scare me one bit. Why should I be?

Irene doesn't even know who I am.

"iKon, you may enter the stage."

The staff began to direct orders and soon enough, everyone was already lined up on stage. We came out after Red Velvet, and I just naturally placed myself to the front row, in between Jimin and Jhope.

I was calm for a few minutes. Seeing the fans in front of me were like a breath of fresh air, not until I felt that Jin was signaling something, and Jhope was scooting over to the side.

I went to look at the side to see what was going on, and before I knew it, I caught a glimpse of Irene passing by in front of me.
