I was doing my nails when my bestfriend Tammy called me. Me and her have known eachother since birth her mother and my mother are like sisters they known eachother since middle school.

"Hello", I answered.

"Want to go to the rink with me?", she asked.

"I dont know-", I began.

"Dude just come on. My brother came back to town and my mother is making me go with him and his friends. Please, I want to show you his friend I told you about!", she begged.

"Fine", I rolled my eyes.

"Good because we outside your house now!", she laughed.

I changed my clothes and went outside.

"Come on b*tch, lets have fun!", Tammy hung out the backseat window.

"Here I come. And shut that sh*t up with the b word", I argued.

"Whatever!", she rolled her eyes.

I approached the backseat door and was stopped by Tammy.

"Uh-Uhn girl front seat reserved for you", she pointed to the passenger seat.

I cautiously got into the passenger seat and looked at the driver. Ray? Havent seen him since 5th grade he moved to atl after that with his dad. Now we're in senior year!

"Ray?", I asked looking at him.

"Yn, Its good to see you!", he said dapping me then got back to driving.

"Yea its been a long time", I smiled.

"Yup like 7 years!", he smiled.

"Oh look we're reuniting! Lets just get to where we got to go", Tammy interferred.

We were at the rink and I was sitting on a bench writing in my journal because my shins were beginning to hurt. Plus Tammy abandonned me to go skate with her man friend Chresanto.

"Why you so quiet?", Ray asked sitting next to me.

"You mean, why am I not talking to you?", I tilted my head putting my journal back in my locker. 

"Yes", he smirked.

"Well then Im not talking to you simply because we have nothing to talk about. We havent talked in a while. I dont know what to say...", I shook my head.

"Well what happened since I was gone?", he asked.

"Well puberty did. You know...my period started, my boobs got bigger, my ass got bigger, my hair got longer. Tests got harder. My hormones are raging. You?", I said.

"Just about the same minus the boobs, ass, and period part", he said making me laugh.

"Im not skating with you ever again!", Tammy yelled at Chresanto as they approached us.

"Whatever!", he said sitting down.

"Yo yall ready to go we been here for 3 hours now!", Tammy complained.

"I had a time with you Ray! Nice meeting you Chresanto. Bye Tammy!", I said getting out the car.

"Had a nice time with you too!", Ray said.

"Whatever", Chresanto said.

"Bye girl", Tammy waved.

I waved back and went into my house.

"Have fun?", Tammy spoke into the phone.

"Yea", I said turning my light off then laying down.

"Mhm. I saw you and Ray laughing. Smiling at eachother", Tammy said trying to hint at something.

"We just friends", I assuring her.

"Yea whatever", she said unconvinced.

"Yn get off the phone you have school tomorrow!", my mom yelled then closed the door back.

"Girl I gotta go and dont go telling Ray I like him", I warned.

"Whatever. Night girl!", she hung up.

I put my phone back on my nighstand then looked at the ceiling. Tammy so crazy to think me and Ray would have or has something going on!
