Alright what to wear....what to wear? I opened my closet and settled on a pacers beanie, a black sleeveless shirt, white jeans, black and white jordans, and added a jacket around my waist incase it got cold. I showered and put my clothes on.

Ring!

"Hello", I placed my phone to my ear.

"We outside lets go!", Tammy yelled into the phone.

"Alright here I come", I hung up.

I ran downstairs to avoid my parents. As soon as I was halfway out the door my mom stopped me.

"Where you going?", she asked.

"Carnival", I replied rather fast.

"With?", she crossed her arms.

"Tammy and our other friends. I made sure Ray wasnt going to be there", I lied.

"Ok. What time you coming back?", she asked.

"Like around 12...we might go do some other stuff", I answered.

"Just be back before 1", she walked up the stairs.

I held my chest and walked out the house.

"Come on", Tammy yelled laughing.

"Here I come", I yelled running to the car.

We were at the carnival in the go cart line.

"Oh by the way Yn, this is Jacob! Our half black mexican friend", Tammy introduced us.

"Im Yn", I shook his hand.

"Hi", he shook my hand back.

We got onto the go carts and immediately began running into eachother.

"Everybody lets get Tammy", Chresanto yelled backing her into a corner.

We all hit her cart trapping her in the corner and repeadidly bumped into her.

"Alright will that be all", the cashier asked Chresanto.

"Yhup", he answered.

"Alright it'll be 20", the cashier stuck her hand out.

He took out some money and handed to her.

"Sorry I cant except a $100 bill", she handed his money back.

"What you mean, all I have is hundreds in my pocket", he said taking his dollar back.

"We dont except bills larger than 20's", she said pointing at this sign.

"Here", I paid for Chres.

I gave the lady a 20, then gave Chresanto $80 taking the hundred out his hand. Now we were even.

"Thanks", he said lowly and grabbed his food.

"Welcome", I said walking next to him.

"Why did you do that for me?", he asked.

"Oh. Cause you needed it. I still dont like you tho", I said.

We found the others and at the table and began to eat.

"Why you so quiet?", Rayan approached me while we waited in a rollercoaster line.

"I dont want to talk about...long story anyways", I looked the other way.

"Hold our spots in line, we want some cotton candy", Tammy said walking of with the others.

"Aye look we got nothing but time just tell me. I want to know whats bothering you. Let me help", Ray said very sweetly.

"My parents said I cant talk to you because youre a pill popper...they think I'll start doing it too because I see you doing it", I confessed.

"So youre just going to stop hanging with me because of that. We barely even got to catch up yet...I like hanging with you. I promise I want take the pills infront of you I-", he started.

"Ray Im not going to stop hanging with you because they say not too...I'll make that choice myself. You I can to the carnival anyways didnt I?", I promised.

"Ok. You promise not to treat me different because your parents tell you bad things about me?", he held out his pinky.

"I promise", I said linking his pinky with mine.

"Next", the ticket collector guy asked.

"Oh sh*t wheres Tammy and them", I asked looking around.

"Right here, we been here before yall started the pinky promises", Tammy rolled her eyes.

"Oh we didnt notice", Ray smiled putting his arm around me.

"Next!", the guy yelled again.

We rushed up to the guy and gave him our tickets.
