"So what are your weekend plans" said leaf. But I could not hear her I was busy sulking my dad had taken away my car because of a stupid argument we had. I wanted my car back car pooling with friends was fun but not as fun as my car. My car was a cherry red, and a convertible with leather seats and... " summer... you who, are you in there. SUMMER ... SUMMER". " oh yes did you say something". At that point the ground began to shake. It was normal we lived in California so earth quakes we were prepared, Leaf and I headed down to the basement of the school. It was no different than any other earthquake I thought. We have nothing to worry about the town can assess the situation after the quake, nothing to worry about. Leaf and I headed for the basement when I heard a noise that was very unlike an earthquake noise, it was a creak of sorts, but every thing seemed to stop. The whole of Cali seemed to stop. Nothing had really happened, it was just a regular earthquake I tried to reassure my self. But I knew it was not. The ground started to shake more violently. Then every thing stoped, for real this time then the power went out. There were thuds all around me. I started running, running away from the thuds off my friend falling to the ground, the earthquake that seemed to stop everything and from the place where I grew up because somehow I knew that there would be nothing left for me here. The shaking grew more and more. Buildings were crashing Dow around me and the world as I knew it was dying. The sky grew dark and then the world was quiet.
