Katie stood at the mirror staring at her dress, it was white with flowers dotted around the ends. It was a shoulder-less dress.
Katie's eyes drifted up to her hair, it was in a messy plat to the left. Her bangs tucked behind her ears. Beautiful, people would say.
Her eyes went to her face, a light tan with oak freckles. Her eyes as green as an emerald, so deep, so astonishing.
Everything else, seemed to her as if she was ugly. Her small lips, her eyebrows with that small freckle above the right.
Katie's mind pointed out all the rubbishy things about herself, and compared them to others.

Travis brushed his hair, the tangles soon disappeared, he wanted this to be perfect. He knew what he was going to do, after all this was a dare. It was cruel, Travis knew it. But how would he back out now, he'd make a fool of himself.
