Arthur's Pov:

The horrid sun was blazing down on me as I stood rigid in place facing away from the marvelous Buckingham Palace. I was a soldier of sorts, it has run through my family for generations, many Kirklands were famous for extraordinary battles in protecting the British empire.

Here I am though guarding a golden gate, having to deal with thousands of the most annoying tourists from all parts of the globe. I was overheated and angry with all the disrespect I saw daily, the only time we could ever break our stance is if some idiot went to far, I've been fortunate to have the satisfaction of hollowing at a few morally corrupt individuals. Of course the most dreadful people to deal with are those painfully, extreme Americans.

Always screaming, too loud, too selfish, most would just complain why they were here instead of appreciate the rather rare opportunity that they could actually experience the royal customs.

My shift was almost over to my joy but a bit disappointment as I would not be on duty for when the royal family arrived, Although all I wanted to do was change out of this overbearing uniform.

I was staring at the deep blue sky as crowds began to form when something or rather someone caught my eye.

It was a young woman with golden locks that bounced as she happily skipped near the gate where I was stationed. Her baby blue eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement as she rushed over to get a better view of the castle.

"Mattie! You got to come and see this!" She called out to someone in the crowd.

She was American from her voice, but I didn't find it at all annoying. It sounded like sunshine, and pure happiness. She was loud, I could not argue but I found myself wanting to hear more.

Still standing still I strained my eyes over to see a taller female who looked almost identical to the girl with the exception of much longer hair and glasses. In her hand was the firm grip of a man with snow white and glowing red eyes.

"Amelia, slow down." I'm guessing her sister called out to her in almost a whisper.

"I can't Mattie! Don't you see?! We are actually in Buckingham palace!" She laughed jumping up in down with glee.

I would have cracked a smile if it had not been for my code.

The mood was quickly soiled when the man sneered, "I dunno vat the big idea is about some dumb castle."

The face of Amelia went from joy to a very angry type of distraught look.

"Gilbert do you have to ruin everything?" She grumbled.

"I'm just pointing out the obvious." He rudely retorted.

I watched with disapprovement as the man named Gilbert pulled Mattie closer giving her a sloppy kiss on the cheek and asking with puppy eyes, "This is so boring birdie, how about ve leave and go somewhere fun?" He murmured.

"Mattie!? Are you kidding me?! We've wanted to see Buckingham palace since we were kids!" Amelia growled.

The quiet Canadian looked conflicted as she looked from her sister to her lover. Her violet eyes gleaming with guilt.

"I'm sorry Amelia...It's just that I did want to have a romantic vacation with my fiancé.''

The look on Amelia's face was one of utter betrayal.

"F-Fine then! Go!" The American choked.

The one named Mattie looked like she wanted to say something, but her fiance pulled her off with a crude smirk on his face
