Behind Lucy's Eyes

Chapter 3

Lucys POV
I walked into my house and saw my dad. "I don't want to chat father" I exclaim. Then what he says scares me a lot. "DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME!" He yells raising a fist. I was so scared but I never thought he would actually do it but he did and right into my eye and I fell over. "Lucky Lucy, because next time I will blind you" with that he walks out. I stand up and go to the kitchen to ice my eye. I look in the mirror and it's worse than I thought. My eye was purple, it was so small and it was throbbing. I needed rest but I have school tomorrow. That was a problem. Maybe I should call in sick? No I can't ruin my perfect attendance I have to make up an excuse. I decided not to go out for dinner (because of my eye) and had a ham and cheese sandwich. After that, I was thinking to text someone probably Erza since I got her number yesterday but I didn't want to be a bother so I just went to sleep.

Time skip next morning (walking to school)
I was walking to school and holding my eye there fore no one noticed anything was wrong. After showering this morning I look and looked for normal ways to cover my eye but couldn't think about it. So I kept walking until a little light bulb in my head went DING! I reached into my backpack and pulled out sunglasses and a little mirror. GENIUS! You couldn't see it at all. The problem was that it was pretty gloomy outside so I was getting weird looks for wearing sun glasses when there was barely any sun, oh I well I could care less. I walked into school and bumped into Levy. " oh I'm so sorry" I say "it's alright, but Lu can I ask why your wearing sunglasses?" I shrug and say "you didn't know it's the new style" she looked at me and walked away not completely buying my lie but at least she didn't question me further and that is when I walked into my 1st period class. Usually I believe classes make you take them off but I got away with it up until 3rd period when my teacher Mrs Oakland said "Lucy no sunglasses In class and no buts!" "But I-" I began but she cut me off "no buts take them off!" Great now all the attention was on me. Before it took them off I slid my hand over my bad eye and took them off. No one thought anything of it just that I was resting my head on my arm and I got away with it until lunch UGH! I sat down at the table with my friends Erza,Levy,Mira and more until Gray and Natsu walked up joining us. Gray sat next to me and I could've sworn I heard Natsu growl but if he did then what for? ( A/N : dense much lol) Everyone was noticing I was still covering my eye and eating with one hand in a strange way.

BASICALLY EVERYONES POV AT THE TABLE WITH LUCY
"Why is she covering her eye something is wrong"
They thought in their heads.

Back to Lucys POV
Erza looked up at me and around the others until she finally spoke "Lucy are you alright?" She asked with a very concerned look on her face. " of course I am why wouldn't I be?" She didn't look convinced "then put your arm down" she said and I shook my head. But she did something and nodded at Gray who was sorry beside me. I smiled at him and he held my arm pulling it down from my face I was thinking to put up a fight but I decided not to and they all gasped at my black eye. I smiled at them and looked down acting like it was normal and I was born with it and stuff pfffftttt that was totally there yesterday i say in my head thinking up an excuse.

ERZAS POV
After Gray pulled down her arm we saw what she was covering. It was a black eye and a bad one too. "Sweetie what happened?" I ask concern in my voice. "I uh ran into a pole?" She said questioning like asking if it was the right answer. The pole excuse everyone knew she was lying. "We know it wasn't a pole now who did that to you?" I look over at Gray and Natsu to see them clenching their fists worry in their eyes for Her sake. She opened her mouth to speak but the "RIIIIIINNNNGGGG" saved by the bell if I do say so myself. And she ran off covering her eye again.

GRAYS POV
After I saw Lucys eye I got so mad. I wanted to kill the person that did this to her yet I was a little unsure why. Before she told us what happened the bell rang and she ran off. I grabbed her wrist gently after catching up to her. "Are you okay what actually happened to your eye?"
