Y/N- your name

You and the rest of the Academic Decathlon team, aside from Peter and Michelle, were in the monument. The lady was talking in a monotone voice. You began zoning out when there was a purple flash and the elevator stopped.

"Oh my god, look at he ceiling!" Flash said.

Everyone looked up at the ceiling. You put a hand over your mouth to keep you from screaming or saying something. There was a red line with a glow.

"It's going to be okay everyone. Our safety systems are still online. Everyone will be okay."

None of that reassures you. The elevator was creaking. Cindy and Abe went up. Flash went up with the trophy.

"Take my trophy!" He yelled, handing the trophy to the guards.

The elevator fell an inch and you let out a small scream. They grabbed Flash and the elevator fell down. Everyone was screaming. Then suddenly it stopped. You tumbled fell to the ground and looked up. It was Spider Man.

"I did it. I really did it!" He said.

The doors gave way and his body crashed from side to side and he eventually landed in the elevator. He shot a web up and the elevator came to a quick stop.

"Hey, hey, how you all doing?" He said in a deep accent.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Ned shouted, swinging his arm.

"Hey stop moving around!"  Spider man said in a higher voice.

"Sorry sir."

He started to bring us back. The teacher, Ned and everyone but Liz and you got out. Spider Man's footing was breaking.

"Liz! Y/N, come on!"

With everything you had, you pushed Liz. The elevator collapsed.

"Y/N!" Spider Man  yelled.

You screamed out and reached out your hand. The elevator was dropping fast and taking you with it. He shot out a web and the elevator stopped. You fell to the ground once again. The elevator slipped and you screamed out again. He dropped a few feet and shot again. He shot a web and it surrounded you. Your head hit on the edge of the elevator and you blacked out. The next thing you know, you're being lifted up. You open your eyes and looked up. Spider Man was bringing you up. You were inches away from him.

"Y/N?" He said softly. Wait a second, you recognized his voice. From where though?

"Spider Man?" You asked in a small voice.

"It's alright. I've got you."

You looked down and saw that you were hundreds of feet above the ground. You looked back up at Spider Man. When you were close enough to, you wrapped your arms around him. He wrapped his arm around you as well. You glanced down again. You started to breathe harder than normal.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's okay. I've got you now. I'm not going to let you fall. It's going to be okay. Just calm down." He said. "Hey, look at me. Look at me Y/N." You looked at him where his eyes would roughly be if you saw his actual face. "I've got you. I'm not letting you go. Okay?"

"O-okay."

"Just breathe. Believe it or not, I'm kinda scared to. I haven't been this high before."

You nodded nervously. He was slowly bringing the both of you up. You were almost there and the piece of metal that you guys were hanging from started to creak. You kept glancing down and back up. The metal was giving way. It was breaking little by little.

"Spider Man?"

"It's okay, it's oka-"

The metal broke apart from the rest of the roof. You screamed and your grip tightened. His arms wrapped around you tightly. One of his arms let go of you and you slammed against the wall. You looked up and saw that the others were way higher up. You couldn't make out any of the faces.

"Y/N, just stay calm. Just relax. Um... here, get on my back. Just don't look down. Okay? Just keep your eyes closed."

He stabilized himself and you climbed on his back. You wrapped an arm under his and around his neck so you didn't choke him.

"You ready?" He asked.

You nodded and closed your eyes. He started to climb up the wall. A few minutes later, but what felt like hours later, he stopped.

"Alright, open your eyes. It's okay now."

You slowly opened them as he slowly got into the opening where everyone else was and dropped down to the ground. You let go of him. He turned around.

"Are you okay?" He said putting his hands on your shoulders.

"Yeah. I-I'm Fine. Thank you."

You hugged him tightly. You heard a faint voice. "I think she likes you Peter."

Peter? You pulled away and he went out the window. Liz flung her arms around you.

"Oh my god, I thought you were dead!" She said pulling away and looking at you in the eyes. "That was really brave, pushing me to them and leaving yourself in the elevator. I couldn't imagine doing anything like that."

"Your the captain of Academic Decathlon. The team need you." You laughed.

"I can't believe you."

She hugged you again and everyone went down.
